Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

In five years Fitz and Welker will be on their way out, not sure this will win a SB after 2-3 years
In 5 years Fitz will only be 34. Steve Smith is 34 and still productive, and Fitz is a top player so I'll take my chances.
Fair point on Welker. He will be 37 in 5 years. I would hope he can still produce in the slot. 3 very good years then a couple of 'solid' Stokely like one's.
Winning a championship in a 5 yr window, i am picking the below 5 players and build the team around them.
Offense
---------
Wes Welker ( Passing game )
Adrian Peterson ( Running game )
Special Teams
-----------------
Trindon Holliday
Defense
---------
Darelle Revis
Ed Reed
I am looking for winning in year 1.
Why wouldn't you just take PP, instead of one trick Holliday...look I'm Holiday's biggest fan, I wanted him when he was in HOU...but a first 5 player? Same goes for Welker, how in the hell do you take him over Megatron/AJ Green no matter when you're tryna win...?
Imo same goes for Reed and Revis ...pass rush is more important ...anyhow not tryna single you out or anything, but this list caught my eye as a pretty bad one

Key for this thread is selecting only 5 players and i thought this is the best. I think Trindon Holliday is extremely good at his one trick, better than anyone right now. Welker is money.
Well, i can have a sloppy pass rush with solid DBs, i am good. No one better than Revis and Ed Reed. Ask Tom Brady.

Well Reed barely found a job (even tho I'm surprised by that) part of it is because he has few good years left
And Revis is a CB coming off an ACL, not an easy thing to do
And the biggest error you made is thinking that two secondary players can possibly be better than a pass rush ...this is coming from a secondary specialist..
Pass rush is always how you build a defense first...while I love having top notch secondary play as well, and ideally you want both, if I have to pick one, without question I'm going pass rush...pass rush can make an average secondary good and lack of it can make a great secondary look average...
You'll see more SB winners with top notch pass rush than top notch secondary players...and again, I've played CB my whole life...I'm fully for having a top notch secondary, but I'm still smart enough to know pass rush comes first...
That'd be a damn good way to start...I couldn't go with Sherman cuz of his damn mouth n personality ...had to go with my boy PP
Thought long and hard about Peterson but read somewhere he gave up 5 TDs last year. However he is electric returning the ball and obviously always improving so I could go either way

He'll be a top corner in this league very soon, trust ...

Lol funny. I like that you are so convinced I am wrong. However, I am pretty convinced with what I did and why. Lets leave it at that.
