  • Raider Nation to go all out for Woodson, Desperate Much ?

Charles Woodson is scheduled to visit the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, and the Silver and Black's faithful fan base doesn't plan on letting the free-agent defensive back get away again.

I find this absolutely hilarious. I wouldn't mind him signing here, he has experience and could help, but its not a big deal either way. At his age he's just a spot player.

We had a visit and offered him just above minimum. A few other teams have kicked the tyres on him...... but not the Raiders lol

I just went on their forum and lots of people want them to outbid Denver and give him a 2 years deal, they have organised this huge fan rally to get him to sign like he's a missing piece.

Is this really the brightest moment in a Raider fans year ?

      Eh.

He was a big time player for them once upon a time. Bringing him back would be a big boost in morale and optimism for the organization. I don't blame em.

Woodson was a special player with us before he got hurt in the Superbowl year. Other than Janikowski and until recently Shane Lechler, he was the last link to that run. It's the same thing with Gruden when he was teasing a comeback.

No one said he was a "missing piece" we all know we're rebuilding across the board. This is rallying to show support for a player who can bring experience, even though he's up there in age. Not like it hasn't happened before.

Just cause we're in a fortunate situation ...Frankly imo the best in the NFL...doesn't mean we should rag on others who aren't

            Seriously

Nah, they have to win on the field first, but it is refreshing to teleport into the 21st century.

                    lol, funny man.

I had no doubt Woodson was leaning towards Oakland..... just like Freeney it was always coming down to dollars and Oakland obviously wanted him a lot more then anyone else.

I just wondered what all the hype was for a 36 year old spot player.

Although I realize he was a big player in Oakland so I kinda get it.

Woodson took the money. I guess he didn't save all that much and had to choose cash over contender to end his career.

Oakland is hoping they can just buy Woodson's youth back.

Well they better hope he can make an impact. Or Manning is gonna torch their secondary yet again this year.
