  • NFC North.

Pre-season is over now the real fun begins.

    1) Packers..........Gotta give them their due. they have dominated the NFCN for the past three years.

    2) Bears............Still the best defense in the division. They do have the talent on offense, so the key for them is how quickly that O will come together.

    3) Vikings..........Peterson may well be the best player in the league, but can he carry that team for an entire season again. Ponder looks like he may have regressed since last year.

    4) Lions...........In Stafford, Johnson, Best and Suh they have some top talent, just not enough overall talent to be a factor in this tough division.

    1) Packers, everyone will make them number simply because of Rodgers. This preseason we've seen that Mike McCarthy really wants to add balance to the team with a running game. During the preseason Eddie Lacy looked pretty good, so GB if all is healthy will have a respectable run game. The defense will be way better than the last 2 seasons, maybe close to the 2010 defense if they can get turn overs.

2)Bears, attempted to improve their OL. Kyle Long is pretty good, if Matt Forte can stay healthy they'll have their run game, which would likely be 3rd best in the division.

3)Lions, I got them going ahead of the Vikes. I think having Reggie Bush will push them into 3rd place. Not only will he be a decent back for them, he'll also be a weapon in the passing game and a good return option.

    4) AP is on the team so they're gonna get wins. But Ponder has seemingly gotten worst, getting Greg Jennings won't help them.

    Records:
    Packers 11-5
    Bears 10-6
Lions 7-9 maybe 8-8 of the defense can pick up.
    Vikes 6-10

As long as Rodgers is healthy, GB wins it but they have a brutal road schedule.

      Packers
      Bears
      Lions
      Vikings

Not gonna try and guess records.

Division was close last year, and I suspect that it will be again this season.

Bears run game would be the third best in the division, bhind the Vikings and who else? Can't see the Lions or Packers having a better run game.

Not sure on Chi over Cincy.

The Bengals line vs Chi outta be a very interesting matchup, that DL is scary good.

                  The Bears are who... knows?

Really. Way too much turnover to have any clue at this point.

We have 4 new starters on the OL who are all new to the team (only the C is the same). A new TE. A new playcaller and Head coach.

I have a LOT of optimism.
But, is the OL noticeably better? Was Cutler what he was the last few years not because of bad OC's, but because he'd reached his ceiling? Has the Defense run out of time or luck?

That's what we're all going to find out. I do think the Pack should be more worried. simply because with Lovie the Bears would, year-in year-out, stay a good 9/10 win team that they could always beat.

Lovie's teams had high floors, but medium ceilings.
Trestman's ceiling is probably through the roof (Raiders in '02). But then his floor could easily be "Lions bad" (4-12 with loads of talent) too.

Most interesting team in the league this year I think (close run with Phi and KC).

You picked 2 of my favorite LB's in the draft.

I was convinced Bostic was a high-mid round 2 player, even though most of the media labelled him a 3-4, and I rated Khaseem Greene my 3rd best OLB, ahead of Arthur Brown.

How have they looked so far ? (obviously its just been TC and pre-season)

Bostic has started every pre-season game due to a Williams injury. He has shown big play ability, instincts, and sideline to sideline speed. Needs to work on his pass coverage though. It is going to take some time with Greene, he has flashed ability but still looks like a raw rookie. Special teams will be his thing this year while learning behind Briggs.

This game is as close as the 3 point spread. That Cincy DL does scare me, it will be a huge test for our revamped OL. Now on the other hand the Bengals OL against Peppers, Melton, Paea, Wootton should worry any Cincy fan. They are going to be without their best OLineman (Whitworth) and it is the same line that last year gave up more sacks than the Bears horrible 2012 line.

                            1) Bears......1-0 Against a quality opponet.

                            2) Lions.....1-0 Bush off to a great start.

                            3) Vikings....0-1 Ponder sucks.

                            4) Packers...0-1 Still can't beat Kaepernick & the 9ers.

Eh, played as good of a game they could. The Niners are beatable by Green Bay, just gotta not make stupid mistakes that get the refs against us. A lot of penalties wasn't called on the Niners. Davis should've been called for a chop block and holding. One of their TD's shouldn't have counted, but like Skip Baseless said on twitter. Doesn't mean they wouldn't got another later.

I saw things that need work and things that looked promising. Eddie Lacy looked promising, just gotta get a better OL to help him out and to keep pressure off Rodgers. Lacy was still able to produce which surprised me considering he played against a top 3 front 7.

Rodgers did his thing but didn't get any help really. Finley caused a pick that really cost them. Dude needs to learn how to not drop the ball or he'll be playing for someone else next season.

The front 7 played well, Matthews was beating on Colin throughout the game. Didn't get help from the secondary.

Really the Packers defense will always be where it is until they get rid of Don Capers. He's holding them back.
