  • McDaniels to Cleveland?

    Dear Cleveland,

I don't like your football team but I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

I think it would be better to hire an actual dog or perhaps you could recruit from your daughter's 1st grade class. Perhaps a lottery from the citizens of Cleveland. All would be better choices...

I think Toronto was the town that they smoked crack

I hope he goes there. Then after he flames out........again, I don't see Belicheat taking him back in the fold. So he would be relegated to college duty. Do it Browns, hire this man!!!

He fires all players day 1 and then realizes he has nobody to play football so he starts recruiting from the Rugby ranks. He signs Tebow to a 10-year deal worth $200M with a $20M signing bonus.

In all seriousness, i think if he got zero FO control, he'd be a great HC one day.

Say what you will, he's a very good offensive mind.

I still believe that when he came to Denver he was there to destroy the team by getting rid of the stars which he did and then Belicheat would take him back. It was all part of the plan. Dang Cheaters!

Wouldn't suprise me to see him be a successful coach. I think we gave him too much power too soon but I think he has the potential to be a good HC with the right staff around him.

Yeah as long as they don't give him any power other than being head coach and tell him the stay the heck away from the Defensive Coordinator and let them do their job then I think he could be a decent coach in this league. He actually is a pretty smart X and O's kind of guy. Not sure though personality wise how well he gels with players. Throw in from the sound of it with Browns players they were none too happy their head coach got fired so could be walking into a not so good situation.

Just hoping this year that none of our own get taken again. Tired of having to replace every year.

He has a good offensive mind, but that's his only good quality. He lost this team eventually since he's not a coach people want to play for.

Cleveland would be morons to hire him.

After McDaniels got fired, Bailey said that McD knows his stuff. I'm paraphrasing, but Bailey said something to the point that it was hard for McD to walk into the meetings after a lost and not say I told you so. Bailey said everything McD told them (the defense) would happen, happened. He has the smarts, just need to people skills and patience.

He's got a good offensive mind and thats why he's an OC.

The way he handled people was awful and that doesn't scream HC material.

And how well have those "stars" done? Is scheffler even in the league anymore and Cutler has solidified himself as Jim George 2.0.

Mcdaniels did us a favor by dumping all of the problem players on this team. They wouldn't have been welcome on our team now either

                              I agree, he's a very smart coach.

Yes, he shouldnt have FO control.

But X's and O's, gameplanning, etc.

Creating matchups on offense, etc, he'll be a very good coach one day.
