Prayers for sure. The man has had to endure more than he should have to. Hopefully this time they get it for good. Being only 25 I hope I see the cure for cancer in my lifetime.

former QB Jim Kelly battles cancer

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is expected to undergo surgery following the return of oral cancer. His wife, Jill, says the cancer is aggressive and starting to spread.
The 54-year-old former Buffalo Bills star is being treated in New York City. His wife posted Tuesday on her Instagram account that Kelly's surgery is "tentatively scheduled for Thursday."
On Wednesday, however, a report from TV station WHEC in Rochester, N.Y., said surgery has been pushed back to next week.

Kelly's Buffalo doctors said on March 14 that the return of the cancer was discovered when he came for follow-up tests after his initial surgery.

Dan Kelly told The Associated Press that his brother is humbled by an outpouring of prayers posted on social media. Jill Kelly has been providing updates on Twitter and her blog, where she recently posted that her husband's cancer is "aggressive" and "starting to spread."

Fellow Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, the Denver Broncos' executive vice president, was among those who tweeted support for Kelly.

It's nice to see the support people are showing for Kelly.

                    Jim Kelly finishes radiation treatment

Former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly decided to be very public with his fight against cancer, and that has produced some stirring images of Kelly and his family.

When Kelly's radiation ended, that led to another series of great images that show the support Kelly has gotten from his family and fans. As Kelly, who found out in March that his oral cancer had returned even after he had part of his jawbone removed, left the hospital after his last radiation treatment he was greeted by well wishers outside, and his wife Jill posted the video on the top of this post on her Vimeo account

News from this past week said that Kelly's cancer is back. It's hard to hear it the first time. I can't imagine what they're going through again. Prayers for Kelly and family.
