He also didn't mention what was on par. For example, Oakland went from a stable of unproven QB's to a proven QB that has started in the NFL for many years....kind of on par with the rest of the division is it not?

unfortunately I think he was truly try to justify why they did what they did. Let's get real though. Matt is worth a 6th rounder. He is better than any QB in the 6th round period. That said Matt is far closer to Rivers than he is Manning. So in short no I don't think he was joking...even though many laughed.

Depends on how u choose to look at it. He wasn't comparing QB's, but more of a blanket statement that they finally have a competent QB who will help them compete in the division. Clearly Rivers and Manning are the class of the division, but Schaub and Smith aren't bums either. Probably the best QB the Raiders have had in their building since Gannon.

Schaub will improve the Raiders but he's not elite. He's not an MVP

He's going to need a great team around him to be a postseason QB
