  • Packs retiring Number 4

Packers will finally retire Brett Favre's number and he'll go into the team Hall of Fame.
The number hasn't been worn since Favre, but the team will make it official in 2015.

One of the reasons it has taken so long is because the team wasn't sure how the crowd would react. As they don't want Favre being booed.

Honestly the only team Pack fans ever booed Favre was because he played for the Vikes. He isn't/wasn't gonna be booed on his return to Green Bay.

He is still very loved by Packer fans and every home game and some away games, you see Pack fans still wearing the number 4 and the name Favre on their backs.

It's a long time coming for the future first ballot hall of famer....and I will surely be wearing my Favre jersey when they retire his.

It's well known that Brett is my favorite football player and someone I looked up to and wanted to be like growing up. So I'm happy the team will finally retire the number.

He deserves it. Just as Elway did for us when we retired his number. Nobody has done more for their organization. Aaron Rodgers may already have a Superbowl, but he is still only filling half the shoes Favre did over the course of his career.

It was only a matter of letting the scab of him playing for the Vikings heal. If the Packers fans boo him at his retirement, they are obviously more fairweather than I thought. If anyone deserves to have a jersey retired its Favre.

I'm actually suprised this hasn't been done earlier.

        Seems like a no-brainer.

There was still some bad blood between Brett, McCarthy, and Ted.
