He's been to the playoffs each of his first three seasons. Romo makes more and does less. Cutler makes more and hasn't been to the playoffs in 3 years. Dalton's deal is about right compared to the rest of the league.

looking at the stats, i don't think that is true. last year he had a lot of picks vs the ravens, who had a pretty good pass defense. but then again, he had 3 TD's and no int's vs the steelers, a higher ranked pass defense.

he also had 3 TD's and only 1 pick vs the bills who had the highest ranked pass defense in the AFC last year. seems to me, the guy has been pretty solid in the regular season against almost all competition.

people act like he is not a good QB because he chokes in the playoffs but that can change in a hurry when you have the ability to play at a high level like dalton obviously does.

It's a good deal for the Bengals. They can get out of it in two years. That gives him time to get better or McCarron to develop. Maybe they like the class of quarterbacks coming out in two years.
