- Glazer: Adrian Peterson indicted on charges of injury to a child -
"Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will be indicted in Texas on charges of injury to a child, reportedly his four-year-old son.
FOX Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer and several other outlets are reporting that Peterson is to be indicted in Montgomery County, Texas. As a result, Peterson will have to turn himself in to authorities, Glazer reports.
The Vikings released a statement Friday, saying they are "in the process of gathering information regarding the legal situation involving Adrian Peterson" and deflecting questions to Peterson's attorney.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the indictment "stems from the disciplining of a son with a switch" and that the investigation has been going on for some time, with Peterson testifying weeks ago. Glazer reported that Peterson has been cooperating with law enforcement." ...
