That doesn't mean you have to throw on every play, playoffs are about run game and defense.

    • The Bengals are like the thugs of the league but, the Patriots are like white collar criminals. They sure look and act the part but, behind the scenes they are using every dirty trick to get an advantage. They present a nice little package.. But, you open the box and it stinks to high heaven!
Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore

Disagree, run the ball more until they stop it, and then set up the pass off the run. KC is getting positive yards even when NE is stacking the box. It's not like they're down 21 or 28, they're still in the game.

How can you watch this game and make that statement!

Playoffs are about game planning, coaching exploiting match ups, execution and a big dose of luck (ask the Vikings). NE has a plan.. They are executing at will without any attention to establishing a run game or any sort of dominant defense.

          • I don't care who we play out of these two. I think we can beat them both.

Agreed, it also keeps the ball in your offenses hand and out of theirs. Keeps the defense rested, playoffs are about the run game and defense.

They are still in the game but if they can't score TDs it won't matter.

Yet KC is having more offensive success running the ball, but you say they need to throw more? Smh

New England has no run game, they're forced to be one dimensional for the most part. They use the short passing game as a run game substitute. They scored on a run play as well. Smith has missed Kelce twice in the end zone and the refs have played a role as well. This game should be a lot closer.

My measure of offensive success is points on the board. From that perspective, the gem is quickly getting out of their hands.

That's exactly their problem. No matter how well they move the ball if they can't finish their drives with 7 it's over for them. Clearly their defense can contain the Pats*, so if they are going to have a shoot out, well, Smith may have only brought his Red Rider.

                        • Did he just say the Patriots are 86-1 at Gillette during the play off's? That's pretty incredible I have to admit.

92-1 when leading at the half in the Brady era at Gillette.

I hate Tom Brady but, that stat is unreal.
