  • Cowboys done with free agent Greg Hardy after one season

Bye Hardy, hope you don't get another chance, you are a piece of garbage. You completely showed your true colors while in Dallas...See ya.

Greg Hardy made plenty of news during his first season with the Cowboys, and almost always for the wrong reasons. And now, according to CBS Radio's 105.3 the Fan, the team will part ways with the mercurial pass rusher.

Hardy signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys last March and as recently as Oct. 27, executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team "absolutely" wanted to give Hardy a contract extension.

This came after Hardy, who served a four-game suspension for a domestic-violence incident to start the season, said he hoped to come out "guns blazing" in his return to the field, made some weird comments about Tom Brady's wife, explained how he planned to stop quarterback Eli Manning -- "Hit him in the mouth" -- and got into a sideline shouting match with teammate Dez Bryant after shoving a Cowboys assistant coach.

By November, owner and general manager Jerry Jones had backed off those extension remarks, and in early January, the Dallas Morning News reported that, "a few teammates who had supported Hardy early began to sour on him late in the season, in part because his perpetual tardiness for team meetings never resulted in a reduction of playing time.

So it wasn't surprising when coach Jason Garrett declined to talk about Hardy's future in Dallas, saying he didn't “want to get into any personnel decisions right now.”

For now, it looks like the Cowboys will head into the 2016 season without two young pass rushers; in addition to Hardy, 2015 second-round pick Randy Gregory will face a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Gregory, a top-10 talent, wasn't drafted until the 60th pick because of off-field issues, including a failed drug test at last year's combine.

“This is a disappointment," Stephen Jones said of Gregory's supsension. "We have been clear with Randy about what his responsibilities are and what is expected of him. This is something that he is going to have to work through and correct.”

Wow can't believe they don't want to resign a team leader...

Dallas gambled on the problem children, and it looks like the chickens have come home to roost Bobby Boucher.
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?

I know, right? You get to act like a complete maniac on the sidelines and be called a leader of men. That entire franchise is a complete joke. See ya, you piece of crap.

Yes, looks like a player the Raiders, Rams or Bengals would sign.

That interview by Schefter with Greg Hardy made me vomit. Poor Greg Hardy said he's “still suffering” from all this. Really Greg Hardy? You’re suffering? Please. You haven’t suffered one damn day for one damn minute. Well, I guess you are feeling sorry for yourself because you now are out of a job because your true colors came out during your time with the Dallas Cowboys and they, who are the real felons league, couldn’t control you. So, poor you, you are now suffering.

                1) Greg Hardy, you should be in jail. 2) Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, you are a freaking hypocrite. 3), people who are ragging on the victim for taking money to disappear need to shut the hell up.

So, it's all well and good that this animal never spends a single day in jail. This guy got to sit on his ass for an entire year and collects $13M. But you were suffering.

It's all well and good that he was only convicted of a freaking misdemeanor to begin with. A misdemeanor? Did you see the photos? How the hell is someone able to beat the crap out of another person, threaten to kill her, throw her on a bed full of assault rifles, throw her in a tub, pull her by the hair out of the tub, and leave bruises all over their body and only be charged with a misdemeanor? How is that possible? So, even when he was found guilty by the judge, he was never going to spend a single freaking day in jail anyway.

Now, he had threatened to kill her 3 times. Now, would you want your daughter, your sister, your mother, your wife, your anyone, to testify against this animal? Are you kidding me? He wasn't going to jail anyway. Do you realize that if she testified her life would have been in danger?

Then he gets signed by the Cowboys and gets paid again. Poor suffering Hardy. During his second game back, after that measly 4 game suspension, he was upset because they were losing and he rips the playbook out of the special team coaches' hands, throws it on the ground and has a fight with his teammates. He looked like a crazed person. That beautiful display of behavior was in public on the sidelines during a nationally televised football game.. Can you imagine how out of control he'd be in a private setting?

Then, when asked about that incident Jerry Jones, the owner said, he was being a leader. A LEADER! That is what you call a leader Jerry? Are you freaking kidding me?

So, he not only gets to beat the crap out of her, he doesn't spend a single freaking day in jail, he gets to make millions and millions of dollars, gets to be called a leader of men, and gets to play football. So, why the hell shouldn't she take the money and run? Had she testified against him, he would have killed her.

But people blame her for taking the money and going into hiding? Really? Cause that's what she did. She went into hiding. And she’s still in hiding. She has changed her location twice. She has changed her phone number 3 times and is now contemplating changing her last name. As far as I'm concerned, she could never get enough money. Freaking hypocrites right along with the biggest one of all, Jerry Jones, "Mr. I don't condone domestic violence."

Right, you just pay perpetrators millions and call them leaders.
But oh, I forgot, he never laid a hand on any woman. Now I get why you’re still suffering. People have misjudged you. Poor you.

When you have really suffered, then get back to me. You sir haven't suffered ANYTHING you piece of crap.

It's taken everything in me not to violate the CoC today after listening to that. I'm going to take a shower now to wash off the filth and the stench.

                    I agree with broncoslover above.

The man is a slimeball and he got away with it and now ESPN is giving him a stage to try to resurrect his career.

I also saw this on facebook: ESPN's Michelle Beadle reacts to Hardy Interview

When Greg Hardy appeared on ESPN Tuesday to confusingly ramble about his lack of culpability in the alleged domestic assault of Nicole Holder, it baffled everyone. Sure, it was clear that ESPN was attempting to enter him into the Ray Rice program of image rehabilitation, especially when Adam Schefter claimed that Hardy was “a changed kind of guy” to Dan Patrick afterwards. Yet Hardy seems to have no interest in being remorseful, or even marketing himself as a good guy. He’s still openly defiant, and ESPN gave him a platform to reassert that defiance, a decision that does not sit well with the network’s own Michelle Beadle.

In the above clip from SportsNation, shared by the Big Lead, Beadle was clearly dismayed at ESPN’s decision:

“I feel dirty in that this guy has no job right now, and for some reason we’ve decided as a network that we’re going to give him the stage for his redemption tour as he basically goes out and tries to find some employment. I don’t understand why we’re doing that. If he wants to figure out a way to get his message out there — which by the way, he hasn’t said he did anything wrong, so how a man is supposed to convince anybody he’s changed and yet not admit to actually doing anything? I have no idea. But why we’re giving him the forum to go out there and tell anybody that is where I’m a little bit confused.”

Being that she was criticizing ESPN while on air for the network, she had to choose her words carefully. On Twitter, she was less measured in responding to Schefter’s debriefing with Patrick:

"For the love of _____. Dude doesn't admit to wrongdoing. Dude has changed? I give the hell up."

On some level, ESPN’s decision to interview Hardy is understandable, considering the media firestorm that surrounded him last season. But to push a narrative of reformation and redemption when the man himself isn’t cooperating isn’t journalism; it’s PR. Hopefully Beadle, who’s been a depressingly unique source of honesty from ESPN regarding violence towards women, isn’t disciplined for her comments, but it wouldn’t be a shock.

The guy in the middle, don't know his name, along with so many others, still don't get it and are still insinuating that Nicole Holder is to blame for not testifying against him and accepting money. He threatened her if she did. They report it as a "settlement." But it was a threat.

And, since it was originally charged as a misdemeanor, HE WAS NEVER GOING TO SPEND A SINGLE DAY IN JAIL ANYWAY.

Why should she put herself in jeopardy by testifying when nothing was going to happen. Look up the NC code of crimes for simple assault. Look up the case heard by the bench trial. He was already found guilty and she had already testified and he was still not going to jail. What's the point?

So, it goes to a jury trial. Perhaps they up the charge. But should she put herself in jeopardy again? Really? I'm so freaking sick of the innuendo that had she stepped up and done her duty something would have happened and he would FINALLY have faced some consequences. BULL CRAP!

God, I'm so freaking sick of it.

That's so weird because the Raiders aren't 3rd in the NFL in arrests in the last 15+ years.

It's so strange because the Raiders don't lead the NFL in domestic violence cases during that same time span.

No, that would be your Denver Broncos.

Yes we signed Aldon Smith. But that signing doesn't seem to fit the mold of one that "tends to attract and their overall morale character." You make it seem like scums of the earth litter our roster. I googled and googled and only found this to be a legendary tale in 1981.

I won't even get into the subject of Fred Biletnikoff's daughter and the foundation that he created in her honor, one that Mark Davis fully supports.

He who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw the first punch.
