Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

This is one of the few times where I think Heath Evans was 100% correct.

I agree with Heath and you as well. And if you go listen to Sanchez's presser when we drafted Lynch, Sanchez was great and had a terrific attitude about it. Even is willing to help him. That's what you want, not whiny baby Bradford.
Bradford's getting called out by a lot of players and media alike. He's a big baby afraid of a little competition from a rookie. How much has he made so far and how many times has he been on the field for a full season? Earn your money dude.

I am quite certain either in the segment I posted or in a different one Heath actually used Sanchez as an example. So long as Sanchez plays well and mentors Paxton the right way he will send a message to teams that if they put the right players around him he can be their guy. Frankly I think if Sanchez does play well the Broncos would be silly to not at least try to sign him back as a backup. This is all assuming that Sanchez can and does beat out both Trevor and Lynch.
Bradford is in a very similar situation. IF he plays well for a year or two then teams will WANT to sign him. He will get his shot as the starter he wants ot be. Now though I simply cannot see a team wanting to touch him.
And for those who are bashing Heath...I have witnessed some interesting changes in him these past weeks. The last segment they did on power rankings he asked point blank why the Broncos are not in the #1 spot. He still shows his moments of being a Patriot zombie but at least more recently there has been a marked improvement in his slanted views and he is giving more objective opinions. He also questioned in the same power ranking segment why the PAckers were just magically inserted in at #4. Sighting a really poor offense and very few changes this past off-season to correct it.

You may be correct, but why has it taken Heath and his current employers this long to stop him being so obviously biased? I also find him a little confrontational at times, which combined with his bias, is why I do not support him. Each ex player on the show has some bias, because of where they played, but most of them are subtle about it, or even have some fun with it. To be a reporter/analyst, one of the key aspects is to be as unbiased as possible. Makes no sense why this has gone on so long.....and even worse, when he and Willie work as partners.

I agree with everyone saying he should shut up and do what hes being paid millions for, however there is no competition. You dont trade THAT many draft pics and pay a rookie that much to have him be a backup. Only thing sam can do is try to impress other teams to hopefully get another starting job next year.
I am surprised a veteran and renowned agent like Tom Condon made such a PR blunder. Even if this stance was Bradford's idea, the agent's job is to advise his client to prevent something like this. Condon has made some public statements supporting Bradford's attitude and the excuses don't make any sense. First of all, Bradford declined a longer contract and Condon admitted he did not ask the Eagles about their draft plans before agreeing to the 2-year deal. The $22 million fully guaranteed looked pretty good.
It's a 2-year deal that allows the Eagles to move on from Bradford after the 1st year. Somehow, Bradford wanted to be treated as "the guy" with this kind of contract. Who knows how much damage Bradford has caused to his career when it's time to get the next contract. I won't say it's over for him because Carson Palmer quit on the Bengals, staged a retirement to force a trade and now he's the starting QB for the Cardinals.
Teams will probably be more careful when offering Bradford a contract. Maybe he will lose some guaranteed money in the near future and teams will try to protect themselves better because Bradford is showing he does not embrace competition and sees himself an established starter.
