Seemed really nice, asked our HC all of the players he should know.

Canadian University players seem to be getting more of a shot down south, the Dinos have had a few as well, there were 2 that had tryouts with the Giants this year. And another who is going into his second camp with the Cardinals. Of course none of the Calgary players have had as big of a profile in the US as Israel Idonije who was of course a Bison player who had a nice long NFL career.

If you get the chance to make it to a Bisons game this year, I'd highly recommend it. Great action for very little cost, and as you mentioned you get to watch it in a great venue. The Dinos are out there September 16th, if you decide to go let me know and I'll give you some names of players you should watch for.
You are well versed with this football topic, at all levels! Thanks for the info offer if I go to a Bisons game!

Yes, Dobie and his crew are getting some recognition for Idonije, who did have a good career with The Bears, along with David Onyemata who made The Saints last year, and Geoff Gray, an oliner now with The Packers. Of course, it's nice to have a fallback plan, so The Bisons also drafted Gray just in case he returns at some point. The guy is smart too (Engineer), so finding a career will never be a problem!

I am actually surprised that American rules are used in any provinces for high school, so that is interesting to me. We definitely play Canadian here where I live. And no doubt college ball is canuck as well.

I can't wait to see Von Miller, D-Thomas, Sanders, Charles, Bolles, Talib, Harris, Stewart, Janovich, Derby, and Siemian.
To those who play close attention to words here, yes I said Siemian and not Lynch.
The Denver Broncos play in perhaps the toughest division in the NFL, and I'm anxious to see how they fair against the Chargers, Raiders, and Chiefs.
I'm delighted to have Mike McCoy as our offensive coordinator.
I worry about losing Wade Phillips.
I'm still on the fence with Vance Joseph.
    Brock Olivo is intriguing,
    In John I trust.

All good......haha, I will not comment too much about one point you made, for fear of another QB debate "outbreak". As I try to put it, I like the idea of 2 young men doing all they can to win the job, and both becoming good starters at some time in the not too distant future. Imagine the value of such assets!!

As for The Bisons, I should catch some games. I work out (at The University gym), across the street from where they and The Bombers play. Their coach is a really good guy, and so enthusiastic. His name is Brian Dobie. Two straight years we've had NFL teams visit for pro days. Some of our players are making the bigs, that being The NFL. Doesn't hurt that we have probably the best football facility in Canada. One of our coaches was part of The Broncos staff. (He might still be).

It does signify the start of football though (although the spring league I coach in just wrapped up last night) CFL camps start, have to put up with a few weeks of that. Then NFL camps open up, and we'll see some tape delayed preseason games. Then the USports camps will open up and I'll go attend a few Dinos practices. Not sure if you've watched any Bisons games? But it's actually really good football. Fun to watch. And then the NFL starts and between that and coaching high school I'm good until December. Falls go by really fast!

started a topic Is It Almost Time For Football?

Is It Almost Time For Football?

Dang.....I am worn down waiting! I have spent far too much time in other non football threads. And I know it's not healthy to bi pass summer without enjoying it's splendour, but geez this offseason has been slow!!

Maybe it's because we have not made a lot of changes, or signed big names (although I still think Jamal Charles is a pretty nice add!!). Then again, massive changes do not guarantee anything....but to counter, we have made some definite alterations on the coaching side.

But yes, without rehashing what many other threads have already attempted to do, it's fine to make adjustments rather than blow the whole thing up....that is desperation. We are nowhere near desperation. It's just me I guess, hungry for The NFL to return.

So gang, keep those good threads rolling. Provide that quality information that comes from offseason activity. Throw in some rumours here and there, just to keep me tuned in. It's all good! It's sports. It's what we do as sports fans, and in this case, Broncos fans.

Please do so....so I can refrain from spending too much time in in other forums. Now, some of them are good, fun and interesting. But it's me that needs to be controlled!!!

Lucky for me, The CFL starts really soon!! (be nice)
Working...
