2017 NFL record projections: Patriots headed for perfect 16-0 season?
Nate Davis, USA TODAY Sports Published 6:59 a.m. ET July 24, 2017

    AFC EAST

New England Patriots (16-0): Is it bold? Sure. Kinda. But it's not like Tom Brady hasn't gone 16-0 before ... (and, really, wouldn't he and Bill Belichick secretly love to add 19-0 to their otherwise incomparable resumes?). And from the FWIW department, Brady went 14-1 last season and appears to be surrounded by an even better cast now, especially if Rob Gronkowski is, in fact, back to 100%. The division should be a cakewalk, and even one of New England's toughest road games — against the Raiders — will be at a neutral site (Mexico City). The most difficult stretch comes from Weeks 13-15, when the Pats play at Buffalo, at Miami (where they typically struggle) and at Pittsburgh coming off a short week Dec. 17.

Miami Dolphins (7-9): Coming off a playoff campaign in coach Adam Gase's rookie season, much obviously rides on the health and continued development of Ryan Tannehill. The schedule isn't all that friendly, with trips to the West Coast, London, a road date with Baltimore on a
Thursday and December trips to Buffalo and Kansas City.

Buffalo Bills (4-12): New regime. New schemes. Tough schedule against the NFC South and AFC West.

New York Jets (1-15): Some Jets fans would tell you this is a glass half-full assessment. The first two games are on the road and so are three of the last four.

Things like this tick me off.

I think the writers just choose a random number based on the team without even looking at their schedules.

    This is the Jets schedule:

    vs Titans
    @ Lions
    @ Giants
    vs Eagles
    @ Bills
    @ Raiders
    vs Dolphins
    vs Jaguars
    @ Cleveland
    vs Patriots
    @ Dolphins
    vs Falcons
    vs Bills
    @ Buccaneers
    vs Panthers
    vs Chiefs

Several of the teams the Jets play against have struggled for years. The Bills, Jaguars, Dolphins, Titans, and the team in Cleveland. Yet, the writers arbitrarily assign one win to the Jets. Yea, they probably won't have a winning record. But, every year there is a fluke win by an underrated team, and the Jets play against several teams that have struggled for years.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

I never read USA Today, but I suspect their sports dept. isn't exactly Sports Illustrated.

          Raiders release OT Austin Howard

Should we pick him up? We've already gotten Watson, but I wonder if we need another decent LT to help ease Bolles in as he bulks up and learns the offense, or act as depth to the T position. His base salary is 4.9/year so it should be within our cap space still

I would go for this we can never have enough Talent on our O-Line.

Absolutely 100% wrong about? I've had a few guys I thought would turn into huge busts and now I wish they were a Denver Bronco

                      Great topic!!

I have to confess, I was not a Brandon Marshall fan when he first came around because of the name. Not that I disliked the other Brandon Marshall, I just could not cheer for someone with a duplicate name.

Also, Dak Prescott struck me as a Frat-Punk. What a judgemental idiot I was there.

Good for him thought he was a good corner but stuck behind a log jam of great corners. Guy was also an amazing gunner so glad he was able too get a starting spot with the rams

He always had the potential to be a starting corner in the league, just not in Denver.
