Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Miami is in a bit of a bad situation with Tannehill....possibly to lose him for the entire season. Initial talks with Jay Cutler are being held, and so far neither has backed away. I find this one interesting, and if he signs, I will be pulling for him a wee bit, especially against The Pats. I was ticked at him for the way he left us, but now that he is gone from Chicago, I am open to his new pursuits.
I know, some here will never forgive him, but for me, Miami needs help, and I want someone to kick The Pats.....so why not let it be Jay (or anyone for that matter!). I actually don't mind the guy.
You know, that actually would be pretty cool. Cutler vs McDaniels
Of course the odds aren't even but - hey....... still
The beatings will continue until morale improves....
This story is fascinating. Adam Gase, who was a young assistant coach when McDaniels ran Cutler out of town, has become one of the top offensive coaches in the league and developed a good amount of chemistry with Cutler. I look at how Gase enjoys working with Cutler, how he was able to run that system, and it's further proof that McDaniels was an idiot for trying to replace a young Cutler, coming from a Pro Bowl season, for Matt Cassel.
I think Cutler in Miami is good news for Julius Thomas (if he can still healthy). Cutler likes to use the TE and Thomas was a key part of Gase's offense with the Broncos. I don't think Cutler has ever played against the Broncos in the regular season, which makes week 13 really interesting. Gase and Cutler together; one could have been the Broncos head coach (it would have been great IMO) and the other should have been the franchise QB for many years.
I have always been a fan of Cutler's. I hope he does well for the Dolphins, especially when playing the Pats*. I really thought he would stick to the broadcast career. Wonder what kind of shape he is in? I will root for the Dolphins in 15 games this season ... that will be different.
Me too. This move makes sense on several levels. Hope he does well.
I think for Jay it will come down to health. I have a feeling he stayed active this offseason, because anyone knows that a big contract is but a phone call away. Yes he may be a bit rusty and he may not have pushed himself too hard, but he's got a month and he's probably in pretty decent shape. As I always say, the dude can throw a rope into a small window.....it's the "is the window too small?" question that seemed to prevent him from being an above average QB. Between the ears has been an issue at times. MAYBE, with some maturity, and realizing this is his last shot, he will use the kind of judgement that will maximize the skills he has, while keeping that "rocket" alive as needed.
But one never knows....one hit can lead to an injury, and for him, that would be it for sure. That's the risk for him and The Dolphins.
Again, this team has some weapons, and he could ignite some real life into it.
Jay's still the QB I have watched for eight years of high hopes and much frustration. The arm talent, the mobility, the toughness balanced out by poor decision making, bad inaccurate throws, and injuries. He is still a middle of the road 500 quarterback. With the Dolphins he has a decent OL, good running game, very good receivers, and most important his guy Adam Gase. Much luck Jay.

Yah, I think he is surrounded by the right mix for sure. But it will come down to his health, and that space between the ears.
Truth is, I want him to succeed in Miami. In fact, this could be a good news story. But as you say, there are counter balancing factors thatr must be overcome.

So yah....GO JAY!!
In Chicago two OC's got through to Cutler, Martz, and Gase, I hope this holds true in Miami. I do hope he has a career year.
