  • Julian Edelman Injury

Wow, Edleman looks like he might have a serious injury. I love the way he plays, hope it is not as serious as it looks though speculation is it's ACL or similar.

I hate to see anyone get hurt. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks.

Lucky for them they loaded up on talent at the position this off season.

It appears to be a torn ACL.

You never wish this upon any player... hoping he heals up soon.
            To infinity...and beyond.

I see Tom Brady is in mid season form. Probably wont even miss him.
The beatings will continue until morale improves....

Hope the best for Edelman......as for The Pats, they seem to find ways to compensate, no matter who goes down.

                  Confirmed ACL

Julian Edelman - WR - Patriots
MMQB's Albert Breer reports an MRI confirmed Julian Edelman has a "complete ACL tear in his right knee."
This will knock Edelman out for the entire 2017 season. Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan are likely to see the biggest increase in targets, but Danny Amendola potentially could play more snaps while Rex Burkhead could see some time in the slot. Turning 32 next May, Edelman is not guaranteed a speedy recovery. With no more guaranteed money left on his deal, it is not inconceivable the Patriots decide to move on.

My heart bleeds for the Pats..............

Big loss, Edelman opens up a lot of space for the likes of Hogan and Cooks.

That really sucks. I don't think anybody really wishes injury upon a player. That said, I don't think it affects the Pats too much.

They still have Gronk, Admendola, and just added Cooks.

Between Amendola and Gronk do they play 16 games combined? That's a glass frail receiving core left over!

You know I actually really feel for Gronk, the guy is so huge and good at what he does, the only way to stop him is to get him off the field.

His play is something of beauty. Completely without abandon. Too bad his body cant take it. And that he is a total jackass off the field. But many of the greats were.

As long as they have Brady they will be fine, he's the one who brings SB's to NE.

That said Edelman is a big loss as he opens up a lot of space for other receivers including Cooks and is a big (as in important) 3rd down target. NE always look less productive when Edelman is out compared to Gronk.
