If Jones wanted transparency, why did he vote to have the compensation committee negotiate the contract?
This is about Elliott and no other reason.
Even if Goodell is asking for fifty million, a private jet, and lifetime health coverage, so what? He'll either get it or he won't.You're Wrong!
Recognize That You're Wrong!

Why stop there? Why not ask for a couple Hawaiian islands, an intergalactic "laser" (emphasizing quotes with fingers), and some sort of death star.
Just end this miserable chapter, and install a new overpaid crony. To infinity...and beyond.

The costs of having a private jet at your disposal would amount to tens of millions of dollars over the course of the next 30 years. It's not like he's asking for a Baron G58 to fly himself. A jet of the size he's requesting is expensive to fly and maintain. It also requires two pilots with proper type ratings and licenses. Typically, you would also have a flight attendant on board.
Not even all owners in the NFL have their own private jet as they're crazy expensive once you reach a certain size, which is necessary if you wish to transport yourself and family members. Early contract drafts or not, Roger Goodell is hilariously out of touch with reality here.Adopted PosterAZ Snake Fan

How the NFL fleeces tax payers
Taxpayers fund the stadiums, antitrust law doesn't apply to broadcast deals, the league enjoys nonprofit status, and Commissioner Roger Goodell makes $30 million a year. It's time to stop the public giveaways to America's richest sports league—and to the feudal lords who own its teams.

It's time to stop the public giveaways to America's richest sports league—and to the feudal lords who own its teams..........................Roger Goodell has become the sort of person his father once opposed—an insider who profits from his position while average people pay......................Twelve teams have turned a profit on stadium subsidies alone—receiving more money than they needed to build their facilities..................The NFL’s sweetheart deal is by far the most valuable: This year, CBS, DirecTV, ESPN, Fox, NBC, and Verizon will pay the NFL about $4 billion for the rights to broadcast its games. Next year, that figure will rise to more than $6 billion. Because football is so popular, its broadcast fees would be high no matter how the financial details were structured. The fact that game images created in places built and operated at public expense can be privatized by the NFL inflates the amounts kept by NFL owners...............The beatings will continue until morale improves....

Another thing that just pisses me off ...
You can't go to NFL.com anymore and just look at something without some completely unrelated advertisement getting forced down your throat. What sellouts
You gotta find a balanceThe beatings will continue until morale improves....
