  • So Gang Tell Me...Who's Going To Beat The Pats This Season?

I hate to say it but outside of The Steelers at home, I am having difficulty figuring out who in The AFC is going to knock off The Pats this year, especially if they are at home. I'll talk SB a bit lower down, but for starters.....if I am honest with you all, Pittsburgh is the only true competitor, and for the majority of us, lets seriously hope they do not lose another game this season. Again, I can not even name a team that has decent odds to take down The Patsies in their park....other than If they are struck by a rash of injuries.

Now, The SB is different. The NFC has a number of good teams, and field advantage is not much of a factor. Right now The Eagles look like the best bet, but lets see how they perform in Seattle. A good win there and I give them #1 power ranking. A loss, and I begin to wonder. Seattle is a good team still, and Wilson can work magic, but it's no time to slow down. Pedal to metal. Take no prisoners!

After them, Minnie looks surprisingly competitive, minus 2 starting QBs and the rookie stud Cook. BTW, isn't the SB in Minneapolis this year!!!! Then there's Brees and company, The Panthers, and perhaps a rematch with Atlanta. Rams aren't quite there yet. And yes, still not time to count out The Seahawks, although I think they are too wounded to make it happen.

Back to The Pats.....lets just hope they get knocked off in the AFC playoffs. Lets hope The Steelers win out, get home field, and beat The Pats. Because I can not stand the thought of them getting to the SB once again... you know their chances are pretty good if they do.

Not The Eagles? I mean, they could be derailed of course, but so far they look every bit the part. But as mentioned, I too will wait to see how they do against Seattle. That game may reveal a whole lot.

But yes, Pittsburgh has a shot, and New Orleans is much more balanced in a good way than in recent past.

I don’t think that Pats are the team to beat in the AFC this year. I think the Steelers will be the top team out of the AFC when all is said and done. Although the Jags might throw a monkey wrench in things by winning the wildcard and potentially eliminating New England’s toughest competition. The Jags are good enough to beat everyone in the AFC except the Pats especially on the road in Foxborough.

Hope you're right! Maybe The Jax can sneak Eli into the backfield before anyone notices..... Seriously, I just don't think Bortles is the guy.

I don’t think he is either but that defense is something nasty. It might rival our defense when we won it all.

Based on my knowledge, The Jax have drafted some outstanding D players, and if they all get it together, good things happen. Fournette is a stud, and when healthy, they have had some good WR talent. A good QB could put this team in a new area code....

PHI's run game is the only ?
