  • Jon Gruden (Merged)

Has came out and said he would be interested in coaching the giants if Eli Manning is brought back.

So he is somewhat interested in getting back into the coaching game. I think we need a coach that has respect in this league. Who will have these guys fighting for him every Sunday.

His personality starts to grate on people around him very quickly. Any team that hires him will probably be looking for another coach in a couple of years.

Gruden wants a veteran QB because he never could develop a QB.
He is the type of coach that wants to buy the groceries and cook the dinner, Elway will never let that happen.

Gruden has come out and said he is interested in coaching again because of losing Mike Tirico in the booth. Apparently they were really good friends and he isn't enjoying it as much now with Rece Davis.

That said I think at his age he also wants to walk into the perfect situation and not into a massive rebuild with as much issues as we have. We have a great defense but he was never that great offensively as a coach and our offense is the worst in the league.

I don't really see him that interested in the Giants either other than Eli.

I think he’s with Sean McDonough. But, I don’t blame him. That guy is annoying.

When was he given a young qb that could actually be developed though? He never had a qb that he drafted in the first round. His best young qb’s were Brian Griese (if you want to count him), Luke McCown and his highest drafted qb was Shaun King at pick 50. Not really much to develop there.

We have issues, but we are very spoiled. This is not a major rebuild. There is a lot of talent on this roster. If this team was coached correctly and we had a coach that played to our players strength this could be a 9-10 win team. This isn’t a major rebuild.

OK, gotta say something here. Tired of the "Broncos fans are spoiled" narrative.

We aren't spoiled, we are on the wagon of the front office. We are on the, we're winning from now on" mantra.

We have an expectation of winning. Why shouldn't we? That's the edict and philosophy of our owner and franchise for years.

So if fans expect a winning record, if we expect more than the crap we've seen this season, it's because it fits in line with the expectations of the FO, the owners, the coaches and Elway.

If we don't meet those expectations, then so be it. But don't make us wrong for having them or wanting those expectations to be met.

So, in other words, don't tell Bronco fans we're spoiled because we expect a good product out on the field and it's not happening, and then say, we're too spoiled because we want one.

We are spoiled when any fan can look at this roster and say we need a full rebuild. This team is far from a full rebuild.

I have to agree with you . One is not spoiled when given a product that is supposed to be a certain way . That is what the product is about . I see it as if a product is garbage then it's a let down. The teams that are competitive are just giving their fans what is deserved .

We have coaches not getting the most out of our current players. We have players not being used to their strengths. This season is on the shoulders of the coaching staff. We do not have a great roster, but we have a damn good roster. We have holes on this team but we are far from what our record shows. I’m so sick of hearing we need to blow this team up and start over.

                        Well said.

To me the narrative of being spoiled means we should accept losing. I realize that a team will have a down year, but I don't have to be happy about it. I expect them to be a good team. This year, I expected a whole lot more. I did look at the schedule early on and realized that if we don't have the right coach, this may come off the rails. Because it did and I hate it, doesn't have to mean I am spoiled.

You are correct. My mistake. I did see that last week and already forgot. They sound very similar.

If "recent history" is any judge, John Elway will be looking for another coach in a couple of years no matter who we sign to replace our one year Head Coach, Joseph.

There is a very big difference between expecting to see a winning product which is what we all expect, and crying like little babies and demanding every person in the organization be fired over one losing season. That is why some of you are being labeled spoiled.

It is very possible for both to exist. To be allowed to expect dominance and winning ways while not acting like spoiled children when it doesn’t go your way.

Some staff should be fired and several players should be upgraded. But the level of demands on these boards has become quite assenine.
