He said that he didn't want to coach anywhere, anymore. That he wanted to be management

Who said that? Obviously not Marvin Lewis.

Marvin Lewis is returning for another season. The Bengals announced that they signed the head coach to a two-year contract running through the 2019 season.

I read the story, but for the last 2-3 weeks both ESPN & NFLNetwork reported that Lewis wouldn't be back as coach. Heck they were talking about it during the CIN/BAL game http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...bengals-season

They were basing their reports on in-season conversations between Marvin Lewis and Mike Brown about "planning to part ways." At the time, it was just about staying put or leaving Cincinnati. Later, discussions evolved to include front office jobs. At no point did anyone say Lewis was definitely done coaching or more interested in a management role.

CIN signed him to a 2 year extension. That is utterly disgusting to me. 14 years and this guy has done nada. Not one playoff game win. Don't understand how people who don't perform in their jobs continue to stay in them.

It all falls back on Mike Brown. Mike Brown isn't a very good owner. He's always been a cheapskate when it comes to free agency. He let's players like Marvin Jones, Sanu, Whitworth, Zeitler, and many others walk out the door because he acts like he's broke lol. His bringing Marvin back shows he doesn't care about the fans, and I know many Bengals fans who are fed up with the team.

It has been 15 years, and if you look at the long string of coaches before him, it is extremely difficult to say he has done nothing when the Bungles lose playoff games. Obviously failing to win in the postseason stains his resume but I would take him and his playoff losses over any coach Mike Brown hired in the 1990s.

At some point a change should've been made. Mike Brown don't have the courage to make the change. You know this to be true. Yes, the Bengals were atrocious in the 90's, but Marvin hasn't won a single playoff game in his time in Cincinnati. At some point Mike Brown should've tried to make a improvement at the head coaching position. Like Elway did by firing Fox for Kubiak or Tampa did by firing Dungy, and bringing in Gruden. Both franchises won super bowls after those moves. Cincinnati has had too much talent to have not won a single playoff game.

I would have fired Marvin Lewis too, but not just because he always loses in the playoffs. The question is how he could be a HC for 15 years without winning a playoff game. As it is, Bill Lazor will return as the OC
