  • Offensive line on other teams from our roster

I keep on seeing players that where here in Denver have success on otherNFL rosters. Ben Garland played well last night.

The questions the Broncos should be asking themselves...

What are successful former Broncos being asked to do compared to what we asked them to do?

If it is different, why did we think that player could do well in the different things we asked then to do? Going forward how can we change our scouting process?

If it is the same, what was our coaching and player development doing?

The RG+Center got abused by maybe the best DT in football a few times but from what I saw Garland was playing pretty good.

Garland was just meant to be a feel-good story, but he's managed to solidify himself with the Falcons. Good for him, because he was never going to get a chance to start for the Broncos with the likes of Max Garcia and Michael Schofield constantly getting infinite chances around that peroid of time.

Apparently Sambrailo is good enough to be Falcons backup LT

Not good enough to be on a team that missed the playoffs in 2016 and 5th worst team in NFL in 2017 but good enough to be backup LT on the Super Bowl team in 2016 which is a playoff winning team in 2017.

I hope we are not pretending these guys were any good? When they were here it was nothing but “cut him cut him cut him” and now they are gone it’s “oh we cut them too soon”

They both on a team that won a playoff game this year.

              Garland is definitely playing well.

Like mentioned above maybe it was the lack of opportunities he was given while in Denver

I'm just wondering why we can't help our players grow here, either we blow the evaluation of a player. Or we can't help the player reach their full potential.

They really need to figure out what they're doing with Garcia/Barbre. Play one and be done with it. Can McGovern play? Still have Watson for RT. Do you draft someone to replace him or give him another chance? A lot depends on what is done with the QB situation. This unit clearly needs to be addressed.
Karl Mecklenburg 77 should be in the HOF!!

He is a backup. Saw him play earlier in the year at RT. They made the right move trading him away. Probably better than Stephenson, but not much.

After 37 starts, Max Garcia looks like a backup at best. Denver has Jeremiah Poutasi to compete at G, but the former 3rd round pick of the Titans is with his fourth team trying to get his NFL career going. Allen Barbre is a good player who would need to be re-signed; he will be 34 by TC. McGovern had five starts in 2017 and can play any interior spot. Both Watson and Stephenson have failed to play adequately at RT. The best performances at RT in 2017 were by Billy Turner and Cyrus Kouandijo.

Denver currently has eleven O-Linemen under contract for 2018; thirteen if they re-sign Billy Turner and Allen Barbre. Denver needs to add a couple of starting caliber O-Linemen either through free agency or the draft.

This team kinda feels like a talent farm for the rest of the league. We pickup young players, develop them, and just when the player finally starts to improve we ship them to another team.

That's how the entire league is now unfortunately.
