Read this comment yesterday (and I paraphrase), the way to truly make sure this is a disaster is by giving a team to Birmingham. No failure of a football league is complete without that token franchise in Birmingham.

I never thought the NFL Europe would achieve much as a farm system with the complications of visas for players should they get traded / cut / etc. It isn't impossible, just another layer of non-football related stuff that, when multiplied out by the potential of numerous players (assuming NFL Europe produced some good talent) from numerous countries, potentially under different immigration and work agreements and treaties, it could make a team think twice on a player. At least, that's the issue I would envision.

If we develop a farm system, as we need, it should be based in the US where most of the talent that doesn't make it to the NFL is already based.

A spring league would be great - anything really - so long as they use a pro-style offense and do not just continue college offenses.

Can't argue any of this Rastic (and I too agree with Sam, year-round football!).
Dare I say or invoke the name of Tim Tebow? Maybe he'll want in on this... Regardless, it's Vince McMahon; anything is possible!

Some NFL teams want developmental services...but XFL is still unlikely to last three seasons.
