The NFL world will be a better place when the evil empire of McDaniels, BB, and Brady are finally gone.

I don't think Josh McDaniels fully appreciates the consequences of the mistake he has made. A report in the Boston Globe says that even his agent has disowned him.

Anyone hear Indy's GM? Yikes. He said, I don't need your explanation, not interested in your rationale. The rivalry is back on. He was pissed.

Josh McDaniels' agent is terminating their relationship after McDaniels backed out on his agreement to become coach of the Indianapolis Colts.

Josh McDaniels' agent quits after being stunned by decision

Agent Bob LaMonte says he has terminated his relationship with Josh McDaniels in the wake of McDaniels' surprising decision to turn down the Indianapolis Colts' head-coaching job and remain the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots.

"My word is my bond," LaMonte told Sports Business Journal on Wednesday. "Once you break that, there's nothing left."

A source told ESPN's Dan Graziano that LaMonte was stunned Tuesday when McDaniels informed him that he would not accept the Colts job and instead would stay with the Patriots.

LaMonte expected the phone call from McDaniels to be a question about preparation for Wednesday's scheduled news conference in Indianapolis, the source told Graziano. When McDaniels told him he was staying in New England, LaMonte replied that McDaniels was "committing professional suicide," according to the source.

LaMonte also is the agent for Colts general manager Chris Ballard.

This is not the first time LaMonte and McDaniels have parted ways. They have worked with each other on and off over the years.

I see McDaniel's hasn't really grown from a professional standpoint....

Not surprised his agent left. That decision hurts his agent just as much as it could hurt Josh. No team gonna wanna deal with him after that. Publicly leaving Josh is the best way he can save his rep as an agent.

Capt. Andrew Luck isn’t mincing his words.

I write with most distressful news. The men have been hoodwinked. The deserter McDaniels is on the lamb, likely headed toward New England, my best scouts report. Was this a ploy to merely spy? We shall never know. Irritating.

So not to try and defend Josh McDaniels because I think it was a jerk move on his part. Having said that, the Colts have to take some responsibility in that they made the announcement before even having the contract signed. I get the feeling that Bill Belichick isn't going to be back after next season and Robert Kraft probably enticed Josh to turn down the offer based on that. Either way the Colts fans should be grateful because I really don't think much of McDaniels as a head coach.

Hopefully he’ll ruin the Patriots* as quickly as he ruined the Broncos.

Terrible way to leave an organization hanging! Only a few reasons were justified to do so, and I haven't heard one of them.

McDaniels should never get another HC offer outside NE.
Yeah, the whole staying for the comfort of his family is nothing short of selfish, even if his family's well-being had been considered. What about the comfort and well-being of the new coaches that moved their families to Indianapolis in part because of McD?

To be fair, they may be happy for the move and might be successful but being that short sighted in his actions and their effect on others is not just rude but highly unethical.

Haven't read the article but I can tell you there is NO excuse big enough to justify this. It's one thing to go back on your word to an organization. But having assistant coaches leave jobs to go with you then leave them out to dry is indefensible for COMFORT.

Watching NFL Network, and as Charley Casserly puts it, McDaniels pursued the Indy job, and at the second meeting Indy's brass met with his family, to check off all the boxes. So this was driven by his own initiative, and The Colts were looking to make the family comfortable....and Charley puts it well, that now who will trust this guy outside NE. Probably matters not, but sure something devious about him, his QB and his boss, time and time again!

Boy if anything he has now made 2 cities dislike him more so than most coaches. If I'm his family, I never mention the relationship.
