So the Browns finally won. Mayfield looked really good. Is there any doubt that he starts next game?

I CAN NOT WAIT for sports talk radio this morning.

I won a nice sum of money betting two Jets fans because I knew the Browns would win tonight. But I didn't think they would win this way. They had a chance to win each of the last two weeks and were due.

One game doesn't tell the whole story, but Mayfield could be the building block the Browns have been waiting for.

TT was stinking it up pretty bad before the rook came in. Mayfield looked good.

As I mentioned in the "around the league" thread, The Browns actually looked to have had a great draft.....FINALLY! Few would argue that Mayfield was the right pick at #1, and not too many would knock the Denzel Ward pick at #4, given what he has accomplished in just 3 games. So far, 17 combined tackles, 1 Forced Fumble, 1 Recovery, and 2 pics. Maybe he was the better pick for them than B Chubb.

They do have others of course, and maybe Chubb will someday be the rock carrier.

You must factor in that he was hurt as well. Otherwise who knows if Mayfield comes in. Having said that, based on performance, I would have put Mayfield in to start the 2nd half. It was all leading to that conclusion. The injury part seemed to make everything easier.
