Well first off - be careful for what you wish for...Flacco is on the way. His stats are damn near identical to those of Case.

Second - Case's base salary is $7 million which is excellent for a backup QB. In fact Washington should trade with us to simply lock Case in at the numbers he is at now for the year.

    More than we could afford.

That's my mind set also. If there is a certain someone you want, make sure you get him.

    I approve this message.😎
However, let's trade up for Murray get him first overall. Then trade Keenum, Roby, Bolles and 5 years of 4th rnds for Mayfield.

With that kind of injury, I wouldn't be surprised if he did miss all of 2019. Not something they should rush. Part of me wouldn't be surprised if Smith retired. The other part of me thinks he's the kind of guy to be determined to make a comeback.

McCoy is the backup (is he healthy? He also broke his leg). Sanchez (if he's still there) and Johnson. Yeah, they're hurting for a QB.

started a topic Redskins have a backup?

    Redskins have a backup?

If the Broncos are going to take a QB in the draft they better make sure they trade up to get whomever they want. The redskins are probably going to be doing the same....

Alex Smith's gruesome leg injury already robbed him of a full first season in Washington. It could cost him another one in 2019.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the Washington Redskins are planning as if they won't have Smith in 2019, according to sources informed of the situation. Washington believes Smith will miss the entire season with issues stemming from the compound fracture suffered in Week 11.....

Working...
