I don’t buy it.
It would be a Jets thing to do, since it makes no sense.
I know some people would try to justify it by pointing to John Elway. What some don’t seem to remember is that Elway had some experience running a sports franchise prior to taking his job with the Broncos. The other thing is that his relationship was with the owner, not the head coach.
