The Chefs will take a long victory lap and lose a little bit of their hunger. They'll lose some free agents (and have to cut some players), and a retirement or two (I'm thinking Duvernay-Tardif is one who will leave for sure) which will take away from their abilities, and they'll have some things go against them that they didn't have this year.

    .
Oakland will have issues with the relocation and fan base.
San Diego needs a QB, they have a running game and some Defensive player but struggled much like we did.
We need more pieces, We won 4 of our final 5 , but Houston was the only real team. We didn't do much vs the Bills after that.

The door is open for KC to repeat as a top two cede. The question is, if they give Mahomes a 40 million a year contract, who are they going to have to lose to pay him?

With Baltimore I think they'll struggle to replicate that same offense again next year. Same with th magic they had this season, and I think they punched well above their weight for the season, kind of like the Titans in 2008 when they had a 13-3 season seemingly out of nowhere.

The 49ers face the dreaded Super Bowl losers curse. They had a lot go their way this year and couldn't finish, next year things will be tougher, they'll lose key players to free agency, and they'll have that hangover that's tough to get over. Add to that the Rams should improve, the Cardinals should improve and the Seahawks are still there. I don't think they'll be a bad team going forward, just a one year step back.
As long as Mahomes has Hill, Kelce, and Reid, I don't see them not terrorizing the AFC. Even if you outplay them, they'll just go out and score whatever they need to. It's crazy. Not sure about the Ravens. I thought they'd suck this year. If the step from year one to year two is any indication, Jackson is only going to get better. It may not play out with as much team success as this season, but I can see them being a problem if they get in the post season.

I'm with you on the Cardinals too. They might be on to something. They closed the season pretty strong. I expect the Rams to be better too, and everybody knows that Wilson will keep the Seahawks competitive. 9ers might've missed their chance. Maybe down the line Garoppolo becomes a great quarterback, but he might not have a team around him this good again.

The problem with trying to outscore your problems is that you eventually run into a team that stops you a few times and all of a sudden you lose. I also think the o-line has more to do with their O than you give them credit for. If they have to start replacing parts and they aren't as good what happens? Mahomes made a lot of poor rushed throws when under pressure tonight, it happens to all QBs. When the line gave him time and a pocket, he made plays.

Yeah, Oline play is an obvious thing you need, but having to deal with Kelce, Hill, and Reid's creativity for 60 minutes is what kills you. Mahomes got hit as he threw that 44 yarder to Hill. That was the biggest play of the night for KC. Well, that and the PI in the endzone.

Furthermore. Keeping Mahomes in the pocket is imperative. Most of his good plays came from getting out of the pocket when it collapsed.

          • Immediately after the game I thought Shanahan should be fired. But an hour later and reflecting back on the things he did tonight that I liked (his first 15 plays were great, his adjustments as the game went on were also good) but those issues are concerning, especially given his history in Super Bowls.

I think the biggest thing he could do (other than talking to his dad) is looking across the field at Reid and seeing a coach who's finally learned how to get out of his own way. Reid showed a lot of growth tonight, from the use of the run, to the to his not panicking at the 20-10 score and unleashing the no huddle. Reid has definitely grown as a coach, and Shanahan needs to do the same.

                • Baby Shanny needs to let someone else call the plays.

He doesn’t know how to stick with the run.
