Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I am showing my national bias, but congratz Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, starting Guard for KC, who grew up in Montreal….and just happens to be the only Medical Doctor to play in The NFL. Try juggling that load!
He is a darn good player, and does his part to keep Mahomes upright, among other things.
I really wouldn't be shocked if he retires at this point. He's soon to be 29 years old, he's played 7 years in the NFL and now won a Super Bowl. If he's going to follow through with being a surgeon he's going to need to get working on his residency sooner rather than later. Surgeons also need good hands, and a lineman's hands get beat up a lot.
If I were a betting man, I'd say there's a good chance he played his last game yesterday.

I might not go with you 100%, as in he retires, but I can see him only playing another year or two. I mean, you win The SB, you made some good money, and you have a great career ahead....as long as you are relatively healthy. Why risk it?

There's also a chance the Chefs might give him a push that direction. He graded out poorly this year (PFF had him in the high 50's), and they save $5 million in cap space by him being released, or retired. They need that cap space.

Well now....that's a whole other situation! Maybe he gets to leave on a high note! I can't say I have watched him enough to know better, but when I re-watched a part of the game, he looked decent except for a one sack and a penalty. Probably an average lineman, or so. Commendable.
