I will give him some credit for playing well in Indy, but he's not in the running. I think it's his leadership that has made him a decent QB, given his age and so on. Indy has a nice team, and could challenge.
Anyway, I know I'll figure out NV as soon as I post this.Comment

Just a brief overview of some of the games that interest me this weekend:
1) Fun to watch Justin vs Tua, as the surprising Dolphins make a bid for the playoffs against an interesting Chargers squad
2) I think Buffalo and Arizona will go 4 Qs of action, as 2 more of the up and coming QBs go toe to toe
3) Seattle and The Rams could determine the division winner, however if LA wins, don't count out Arizona
4) I expect Baltimore to end any playoff hopes of the patsiesComment

This is posted elsewhere, but I wanted to mention it here, given it applies to all NFL teams:
The pandemic has changed the fans in the stands audience so much so, that after 9 weeks, the visiting teams are up 67-65-1. The last time that the visitors were up this late in the season was 1983, a year in which the homes teams eventually rallied and ended up with 15 more victories. The last time the road teams won the season battles was 1968.
This could be a big factor as the season plays out. Often in tight games, that home field advantage is the real deal, with fans playing their part, Depending on who you follow, it's usually at least worth a FG. When the games on the line, those 3 or more points are big. Ask visiting QBs and their mates how hard it is to hear themselves in front of a loud crowd.
Then again, we talk about level playing fields, and in this case, given what we all know and have had time to evaluate, by now home teams aren't expecting any favours.
....I think this will be an interesting stat going forward, especially near the playoffs when games get even bigger. If nothing else it might be a motivator for visiting teams who realize that they have little to be concerned about entering "houses" of other teams, other than the team itself, in those last key games. Well, I guess there's always home team "tinkering", but that's more of a Foxboro thing.👍 1Comment

Hey J.....what do you mean by NV? Hmm, Nevada? Can't be. The names I see consistently are Mahomes, Wilson, Cook and Rodgers. I did hear Rivers, but that was not a real serious suggestion.

Alex Smith is looking good for Washington right now. I told my brother he’d lead them to the playoffs yesterday and he just might if he can finish off this comebackComment

Jags was as much of a trap game as it gets. They almost beat the Pack, giving them the same problems the Bucs did. Defense. When defenses can get to Rodgers he turns the ball over and the offense fails. At the same time the Packers defense much like they have for the last decade, couldn't really stop the run and the rookie Jags QB was able to get some chunks on them.sigpic
