Should the Super Bowl logo start using numbers?

Instead of Super Bowl XXXXVIII, they could just say Super Bowl 48!!

Actually, Superbowl 48 would look like this- Superbowl XLVIII.

I think they use Roman numerals to make it appear more of a traditional, prestigous, sacred event. Just the numbers 48 don't do anything as far as that's concerned. If anything, it just makes it like any other Superbowl. The Roman numerals seem to give it more individuality and make it more special.

It's also a kind of "shout out" or "throw back" to the old Gladiator games in ancient Rome. The two teams playing in the Superbowl being the Gladiators and we the fans in the Colisseum cheering for blood.

I think they should stick with the Roman numerals. After all, the logo IS the numerals. Usually, the words "Super Bowl" are just a minor part of it on top.

Edit....Also, everybody knows what your talking about when you post, XXXII or XXIX in your case. Just typing 32 or 29 means nothing. I know, you can put Sb in front if it, but still. It IS tradition now, & I like tradition. The league has lost a lot of it's traditions as it is..............

              It should remain Roman Numerals.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Keep it Roman Numeraled. Otherwise what logo would it be? Doesn't matter if you don't know it. They say it all the time. "Home of Super Bowl 39 or whatever.

I think next year's Super Bowl XL leaves great marketing opportunities available! lol

Superbowl XL, Sam Adams vs. Grady Jackson, that'd rule.

I think they should stick with the roman numerals. Not that people are stupid for not knowing them. It just adds to the tradition of the super bowl.

Actually, it can be XXXXVIII. It's more common with XLVIII because of the shorter term.
