Over the last 3 seasons Jake Plummer has started 43 of a possible 48 games. (not including playoffs) and has thrown 47 interceptions or 1.09 per game.

Brady over the last 3 seasons has started 48 of 48 and thrown 40 interceptions or 0.83 per game.

He's played 5 more games than Plummer yet thrown 7 less interceptions.

Not glaring numbers but do you all think that Plummer would have lead them to the SB?

I'm not a Pat's fan, far from it but I do feel that there's a case of tall poppy syndrome going on when people discuss the Pats.

Perhaps people should just admit that he is the best QB in the league and not look for excuses such as "oh, well they DONT have any great WR's but they have a good D and a good coach"

It's a team game but I feel as soon as Brady is bought up the onus is on TEAM more than anything else.
Some QBs are better in certain systems than others. Brady is in a great system for Brady. Manning is in a great system for Manning. Trent Green is in a great system for Trent Green. And Plummer is in a great system for Plummer. I think only Manning would excel in all those systems.

I think the Pats would have a better chance of winning three SBs with Plummer than the Broncos would have of winning three with Brady. Player for player and coach for coach, overall the Pats were definitely the better team the past 4 years. But I do think the Pats are better with Brady, just like I think the Broncos are better with Plummer.

Not any QB could walk in and win Superbowls of course, but there are many that could is what we are saying. Besides the question is would Plummer work in the system?

When I hear "Tom Brady is the best of all time" I laugh because really there isn't anything about him that makes him the best of all time. Superbowl rings are nice, but just because you have three doesn't make you the best. There are others on the Pats that have been there for all three superbowls, but does that make them the best at their job? Heck no, but they are the best team unit in the NFL which is what counts.

And to tell you the truth I think you see what a QB is made of when things are not going your way and nothing is going right for your team all season long. Those are times when you see what players are made of.
