Well this has certainly proved to be true in the NFL.

what's the talk about him? is he being brought in as mostly a returner or are they planning/hoping to get him some touches out of the backfield?
he got more than a few touches out the backfield ha.

However, according to this he doesn't Bench over 400 pounds either. He benched 391 pounds.
Those are campus stats, not NFL.com stats. I was roundly reminded of that when I provided Clarett's 4.45 campus time off this very site.
I appreciate the link, Kmart, but I need better documentation than this. (I know you are not presenting an argument, but only a link.)

The records of that are on the weight room wall of the k-state weight room, I think. I've only been in there once.

If any one questions if Darren can play wit the big boys just watch highlights from when he played against OU in the Big 12 championship. He was pulling away from Oklahoma's fastest guys. If any one in the NFL can get a good hit on Darren i'm pretty sure he'll be able to pop right up. I think bigest reason every one doubts Darren is because of poor Senior season. It's kinda hard to do much when you have a young offensive line and inexperienced quaterbacks. For proof on the weight stats i think there is a couple of sites that might have the stats.
    See my immediately previous post.

Wow, beating the San Diego Defense! That is definitely an accomplishment! And comparing Sproles to Sanders is retarded. Sanders could squat over 400 pounds and his legs were probably twice the size of Sproles's.

But I don't think Q is just a third down back. He could be a starter somewhere, IMO. If he doesn't start here, then I believe we ought to trade him for his own good. One thing I might add is that a scouting report said he was "good between the tackles."

Regarding Sproles, his weight does not impress me. Whereas Q is 195 lbs, Sprole is reportedly only 170, for the same height (5-7). I certainly don't see how that translates into full-time RB.

If memory serves correct his college O-line was bigger than the Broncos team is.

Besides in colege he did not have to run up against the DT's for JAX or SAN.

Makes a difference, between which tackle you are talking about.

That's not exact, but I know his stats were in that range at least one point in the game. If you're going to be an every down back in the NFL, you've got prove that you have some sort of versatility, and that day he proved that if there's any sort of clog in the middle of the line, he's not going anywhere. I agree he wasn't necessarily used to the best of his potential, but I also remember him fumblng a few times, at least one in every start. For a young guy trying to make his mark on the NFL, he sure didn't do a very good job after that Chiefs game. And I know you saw that Chiefs game, we all did, any running back on the roster could've run for a buck 20 with the holes he was getting.

Use Q as a 3rd down back, and I think he's a reliable running back for a good number of years, but he's just not a full time runner.

I see the same thing in Sproles. He could prove me wrong, but he just reminds me a lot of Q, even the way their college careers went were kinda similar. Just my opinion on things.

No One was gonna run up the gut on the JAGS no one did all year. Anyone that had any success running aganst them went wide. One of the reasons they went after DE and LB this year.

We were all told by the Jags fan how good thier all pro DT were Mikey knew this and IMHO decided to prove everyone wrong. How great our O-line was nad anyone could run on them.

Don't get me started about durability because Pound for pound Q nd perhaps sproules are just as tough as CP, TD, tater. was for the hieght to wieght averages.

They are just short the only thing that is diferent about them, from the mainstream RB's, they are SHORT. Which can be great advantage, hiding behind a couple of widebodies, deciding where to make your cutback.

I also disagree about the holes he was getting in KC, he made some of those holes seem bigger because the slubs in KC did not know which way to turn to get this kid.
