BROWNS TERMINATE THE CONTRACT OF S MICHAEL JAMESON
The Cleveland Browns have terminated the contract of S Michael Jameson, the club announced today. Jameson missed the first four games of the regular season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
Jameson, 5-11 and 195 lbs., played four seasons with the Browns after being drafted by the club in the sixth round, 165th overall, of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. Jameson played in 42 career games for the Browns, including one start, and totaled 28 tackles, 23 solo, on sack for three yards and one interception. Jameson played a significant role on special teams during his four years with the Browns as he totaled 28 career special teams tackles.
Jameson’s had a career high 15 tackles in 2003 as he played in all 16 games for the first time in his career. He had a career-high 6 tackles in the regular season finale last season at Houston on Jan. 2, 2005.
