  • Lions QB's

So it seem's Joey Harrington has taken his last snap in the motor city. Garcia is the starter. Do you see the Lions dealing Joey this season? WHo could need him?

I personaly don't think he's worth touching, but if anyone is desperate enough to test him in next years preseason, I think it's Baltimore, Arizona, or possibly Miami.

maybe a possiblility for Detroit is to trade Harrington to the Chargers and a draft pick for Philip Rivers....the Chargers could sign him for the right money and he could backup Brees.

Maybe the Texans could use him? Carr is destined to get hurt this season, as many times as he has been sacked. Poor guy has got to be one big bruise.

Of course, they need to get a O-line first...

I could see KC inquiring about him. The rumor was KC had inquired about trading for him before this season until Garcia broke his leg and the Lions had to keep Harrington. Trent Green's years in the NFL are numbered and the Chiefs don't have a QB on the roster under the age of 30.

It's a good thing Jay Cutler was a proven winner in college. Oh wait, nevermind.

I could see it happening too. I think a few years under Trent Green with development from Shea could do a lot for the kid.

It's obvious the Lions never developed him properly.

Id take harrington. Theres really no reason for the lions to keep him at this point. Theyve shown little confidence in him, and they surely havent developed him. Maybe the guy just needs some time to get out from under the pressure and just learn the intricacies of the game and offense.

I wouldn't sign him for anything more than league minimum though.

Seeing how the Chiefs are going to have at least a solid season, it might be a good idea to go after a vet like Harrington. Maybe Tony G's presence, and a dependable running game will prove him a better QB. As good as the Lions recievers are, they drop a LOT of balls, and I'm starting to question Mariuchi's coaching staff up in D Town. There's got to be a better option down the road though.

The lions recievers consist of a lot of high 1st round draft picks, but not one of them has taken the next step. Harrington doesnt seem to be in moochs favor anyway, so i doubt they are really trying all that much to develop him. I used to think mooch was a good coach, but detroit isnt exactly lacking talent.

The Lions could really use someone Al Saunders as Head Coach. Mariuchi always seemed like he piggy-backed off of Jerry Rice and Steve Young for his fame.

If they cut loose mooch after this season , they might get their chance at al saunders. Hes not goin to get the job when DV steps down, so hes not going to stay. Weve got wholesale changes coming this spring.

Maybe Joey just wasn't made to be a starter. A good backup, but not a starter.
