Coaching is important that is for sure...but without a proven QB that team will still have problems.
Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.

It's easy to have faith in yourself and have discipline when you're a winner, when you're number one. What you got to have is faith and discipline when you're not a winner.

      Umm
Patrick Ramsey is pretty friggin good. It was Spurrier get him sacked 10 times a game that was causing the problem. They don't need a new QB, they are set with Ramsey.

        Ramsey & Hasslebeck

Joe Gibbs is a quarterbacks coach, if he doesn't think Patrick Ramsey or Tim Hasslebeck is getting enough protection, then he'll go to max protect. He was known for only sending one receiver out in coverage against Bill Parcells and LT.

Ramsey has been in the league 2 years. To say he's pretty good is not untrue, but he is also unproven. I would consider him a rookie in the sense that he hasn't really had to run an NFL type offense. Spurrier ran a college offence and that may well have left Ramsey with a permanent nervous tick. He is not what the skins need, Gibbs will try to get a veteran, I guarantee it.

I wonder if Ernest Byner will help out. Wasn't he the one that helped Denver in "the fumble"?

I am sure he will be good, but that is how I remember him.

Well, we will see but im guessing that they will stick with Ramsey.
And I'll take my guess over your guarantee any day of the week.

Umm do you remember who Gibbs won with in those past Superbowls?

                      Mark Rypien
                      Doug Johnson
                      Joe Theisman

                      not stellar by any means
                      Ramsey will be fine.

He needs to win over LaVar Arrington. He seems to be the hearbeat of the team.

Gibbs don't need to do shyt.
He's the coach of that team and an Redskin/NFL legend.
Arrington can shut his trap and do his job.

Living here in what is called "Redskin Country" I saw quite a few of their games and could not avoid the local media coverage of the team. I know how people have said that the Broncos were inconsistent this year but the Redskins have to be at least twice as bad. They have many good players who can make plays but their o-line was a glaring weakness this year. Ramsey got sacked God knows how many times and their number of false starts was immense. They will definitely be a contender with Gibbs at the helm.

Time to see if Gibbs still has what it takes... Recent years they havebeen through Turner-Schottenheimer-Spurrier... how much will they beleive in Gibbs and how much will he change their offensived and defensive systems.
