Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Well it is about who the Broncos will be playing in a couple of weeks. It is a good thread. A good question is being raised here. I'm not sure if someone has something similar to this thread, but I haven't noticed and I'm not going to look either.
I'm interested in knowing the teams that will play next week so that I will have better knowledge of who we will play determined by the winner of the wild card games. Yes, I'll be watching today's games.
Personally, I want no part of New England in the 2nd round. I would much rather play Cincinatti despite their great aerial attack. Here's why:
New England is a team that you have to chess match with. Belichick is a coach much like Shanahan who can win the game with a tremendous gameplan and detailed execution. Their playoff experience and confidence is invaluable and they are a much better pass rushing team and at stopping the run.
On the other hand, despite Cincy's great success throwing the football and creating turnovers on defense, they are still a very immature team. They are NOT good at stopping the run and our stable of backs could easily have a very good day. Not only would this benefit our offense, but Cincy's poor run defense would allow us to dominantly control the clock and keep their passing attack off of the field.
New England has been to Denver a number of times over the last few years and Cincy has not been here in awhile. There is something to those adjustments to the altitude, Bronco home atmosphere, etc. that would benefit us playing a team like Cincy whose lineman would likely have bigger adjustments.
Also, I think the Broncos would have a little revenge factor on their minds from being embarrassed last year in Cincy on Monday Night Football. Whereas New England would be seeking some revenge of their own against us from earlier in the year.
The best thing that can happen to us IMO is for the Bengals to get the #3 seed and the Pats the #4, this would set up the beloved Pats vs. Indy matchup we've been talking about in round 2 where anything can happen with NE, even against Indy.
This would leave most likely the Bengals coming here to Denver for round 2 and a date with our rushing attack. Without Carson Palmer playing today, it will be a tough win for the Bengals in KC to secure the #3 seed. However, The Patriots will be without Brushchi today, and perhaps without Brady and or Corey Dillon who are nursing minor injuries with the division locked up and the Pats are going up against a hot Dolphins team who has won 5 in a row.
If Miami wins, regardless of what the Bengals do this will put the Pats as the #4 seed and likely to go to Indy instead of coming here to Denver. I really believe this is the best case scenario for us today. Go Dolphins!!!
I will watch the Cincy vs. KC game today.
The Pittsburgh game, Bengals game and Dolphins are all on at 1:30 est today. Since I have Sunday Ticket I will will channel surf between the three.
I think the hubby is going on a bike ride today.
