  • So, what's the latest scoop on...

T.O. ? Anyone heard as to what the Eagles will do with him. Will there be any takers in the league, or will he have to move on to another football league or career?

How about Brett Favre? Is he retiring or not?

    Same with Steve McNair?

T.O., according to most articles I've read, will be cut by the Eagles.

I do not know who is interested in his services. I will personally say that I think he got the last big contract he will ever get. Wherever he signs, it will be for a pittance compared to the contract he signed last year.

Farve has not said he will retire, but the Packers firing Sherman may tip him in that direction. Favre has stated he is too old to wait around for a rebuild, and he has no interest in tutoring Rodgers for a gradual changeover. He wants to win now.

McNair has talked about retiring last offseason. Given the HUGE salary bonus due to him this year, he may just be cut. I think Tennessee would rather he voluntarily re-structure, but it is an intriguing situation. he has not said anything about retiremen this year, so far.

He is due something like 9 million in salary with an absurd $50 million dollar roster bonus.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Bettis has more than likely played his last game in Pittsburgh.

He only came back because he is from Detroit, and he felt that he Steelers could be a Super Bowl contender, and the thought of winning a trophy (finally!) in front of his hometown crowd was too strong to put aside.

So, given that, and the over all tone of the article, my feeling is that he will retire. He has not said he will, but he has also not said he is coming backand keeps talking about life after football.
