    Delhomme exposed

On their way to the playoffs and a 44-11 win at Atlanta on Sunday, the Panthers had to burn a timeout and send in backup quarterback Chris Weinke after Jake Delhomme had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction.

Delhomme's pants ripped, briefly exposing his rear end. While someone fetched another pair, Delhomme and equipment manager Jackie Miles used a towel and some tape to repair the breach. The quick uniform surgery allowed Delhomme to get back in the game and throw a 12-yard TD pass.

"I stuck my hand behind me and I was like, 'Man, something's wrong.' " Delhomme told the Winston-Salem (N.C.) Journal. "I felt a little air back there."
