Steve as a back-up for the Broncos won 2 games, the Cardinals last year and Pittsburgh this year. Hardly an impressive resume for keeping him. The Panthers knew what they were doing when they released him, and he was having surgery.

Hey, I liked Steve. But at some point you get too old to play the game effectively. Most QB's don't make it to his age and still play well.

I just think the NFL had finally passed him by.

O.K. from your examples this is the quote...

"Man, you're really hung up on this Plummer thing. I didn't see N.E. crying when they lost Bledsoe, they just went out and won the suoerbowl without him. Same when the Rams lost Trent Green, they just put the excuses aside and won with Warner. Like I said , good teams and coaching staffs adjust and drive on."

Your examples are N.E. and Rams when the lost their quarterbacks... What other four players did they lose??? Remember we have two starting linebackers on IR and a second string backup quarterback on IR. Let alone two games without Clinton Portis being healthy.

Give me some facts man. I don't think you can back up your statements. If you can I will admit I am wrong. Otherwise you need to admit our injuries made it near impossible to win those games and will hurt us in the future games of this year.

Marshall Faulk played in all 16 games the year they went to the superbowl. Rushed for 1381 yards, and caught passes for another 1048.

Do you remember the Rams winning the Superbowl wirth a backup QB who was not even in the NFL 7 months prior. They were without all pro D lineman Demarco Farr, and didn't have Marshall Faulk for several weeks. No excuses, just adjust and win.

Oh course I cannot remember injury reports for every team. Your statement was you named teams that had injuries and my response to you is that they do not have the injuries to as many star players and do well and if you can prove what you are trying to say with facts, then I will admit I am wrong. Injuries to star players are an excuse whether you want to admit it or not. An injury to a star player will even affect other players as far a morale and giving 100% all the time. Season ending injuries can also affect other players.

All I am saying is back up what your saying. Take the challenge that I gave you and if you can't then what you are saying is not true.

I'm saying that they can, because they have. (This was the statement that you made.)
