Emmitt was good but played on a better team and also played for ever which added to his stats. Walter was just plain awesome. When I was a kid Walter Payton and Earl Campbell were so much fun to watch. I miss those old stars.

Id argue that Barry Sanders was the greatest ever.....but thats a whole other story...."I'm also serious when I say: You can't stop Elvis Dumervil; you can only hope to contain him." -Peter King-

Not taking anything away from Emmit. As a running back in the NFL, your only as good as your abilities and your luck. He was one of the two best for many years, and did it injury free. Class act and true hall of famer.
Walter was better. The 85 Bears (in my opinion) the best ever.
