  • Correll Buckhalter

I haven't seen this out there yet. If we were even thinking about Dillon why not take a hard look at Correll Buckhalter (Philly RB). He is two years away from his surgery and last year was a TD (8)machine as a part time back.

He is tough, fast enough and big (225). The cost is only a fourth round pick (he is restricted).

Don't get me wrong I like Q but he would be the smallest starting back in the league. He is a good ten pounds less than Barber in NY and is about the same as Dunn in Atlanta. Durability may be a question and Buckhalter would be a great one two punch.

Just wanted to get some thoughts.

    I like it

I think buckhalter would be a great fit in Denver. It would ensure us a solid running game with a back that has proven himself to be successful. I would prefer Dillon, but he would be a fine second choice.

I do think Buckhalter is a younger version of Dillon they run very similar. If he developed he could be a better long term solution than Dillon.

I just don't see us getting much out of a fourth round pick this year and Buckhalter seems to have good value. I don't see a RB on the board at that point with his size-speed-power combination.

Five minutes after I post the Buckhalter to Broncos thought ESPN puts him on the cover of the NFL page. I could see his market heat up.

The Eagles have alot of money under the cap so they may match an offer. So it probably doesn't make a difference anyway.
