Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

For a minute, I thought you were talking about Rod Smith!
I agree, I would modify to Jimmy Smith so we all do not get scared. Rod is still playing thank God.
BTW on topic this is kind of surprising as Jimmy Smith had a good year last year and seemed to be coming back. Why wait until after the draft to announce it
For a second there I about had a heart attack. Then I said to myself "that's just total B.S.! There's no way Rod's retiring! Some shmuck is just screwing around again on these boards!"
Then I read the thread and it's talking about a different Smith!
I wonder if the Jags FO had the low down on this before the draft? Did they go into the draft knowing they were going to lose their #1? Is Reggie Williams (I think thats his name) their #1 of the future? Smith put that team in a pickle if they didn't know about this until now, thats for sure.
I must now, go change my pants, thank you so very much.
I don't think they knew about it, since this is who they drafted.
Rd Sel# Player Pos. Ht. Wt. School
1 28 Lewis, Marcedes TE 6-6 262 UCLA
2 60 Drew, Maurice RB 5-7 206 UCLA
3 80 Ingram, Clint OLB 6-2 245 Oklahoma
5 160 Hawkins, Brent DE 6-2 242 Illinois State
7 213 Wyche, James DE 6-5 263 Syracuse
7 236 Webb, Demetrice CB 5-11 182 Florida
Smith was 29 catches ahead of the number 2 guy on their team, so will see what happens, it could be a great place for Lelie, depending on what they want to trade for him.
BOOOOOOOO the moderators for movin my thread. This place was dead man. Im just tryin to entertain. It was bronco related in that this is a VERY feasible desitnation for Ashley now. Change the title or somethin dont move it.
A Wise Man Once Told Me Dont Argue With Fools Cuz People From a Distance Cant Tell Who is Who
I knew something wasn't quite right when I read the title. When I read the post then I remembered seeing an article on Jimmy Smith announcing his retirement.
