Will a woman ever play in the NFL?

It is a matter of time until some genetic freak comes along. It has happened in all sports, golf, auto racing, basketball.

I remember the days when Negroes were not allowed on some teams.

It has not been to many years ago that Negroes were to dumb to play QB.

And no telling where the courts system will take us down the road with the equality thingy.

Back when I was in little league I played for what was State teams, if anyone remembers when they did that. They pulled the best midget athletes and it turned into a farse, lasted but a few years. Anyways I played for the Alabama Rams and yes the uniforms looked like the St. Louis Rams old unis'. But we ended up going against the Florida State Seminals in the Southern Playoffs, their quarterback was a girl, back then I thought she was cute, she was not big at all, real toothpick actually. Anyways she lit us up like she was an all pro, she ran for 40 some odd yards and passed for over 200 yards, in a midget football game? She handed us our worse loss, and I never forgot that. I remember when girls started wrestling collegiate style in High Schools, I watched this little gal tear it up to the State Tournament. They have the ability, but just like black athletes and coaches, well the league is still ran with some bias base. Give it a decade and I think we may see the revolution of co-ed pro sports.

I object to women refs because women are more emotional and SOME not ALL would be bias.

A ref only needs to know the rules of the game and be able to recognize infractions. It doesn't matter what sport it is.

Like one poster said, women would have to show that they can play in college consistently before they would play in the NFL.

So I would say at this time and probably at any time it is not going to happen at any position.

To reply again, im wondering what woman would want to get tackled by a bunch of 300 pounders and fondled in the pileup, you know some bad things go on in that pileup, then you have a bunch of 300 pound guys getting up out of the pile with raging hard on's and that aint good, some guys wouldnt be able to keep their focus on the game and the woman player would start throwing lawsuits around for sexual harrasment and battery, it just wouldnt work, too many of those players in there are Animals.

I was at the bowl game when Hnida kicked and also at the game were she kicked the 2 extra points. I voted No not soon because Kicker or punter is the only position I see a women would have any chance at being in the NFL at. He leg was not that good at all. I was all for her getting a chance to kick. The block at the bowl game came after the Lobos scored first, we were playing a better team in UCLA and I think that the girl kicker was exciting but that extra point came back to hurt us, we lost 20-6 but I feel if we had hit the exp it would of given us a boost. We were so pumped about her kicking that the block seemed to mess with the momentum. Her leg like I said was just not the cailiber of an NFL kickers leg. Who knows a women could kick I just don't see how it would go over in such a male dominated sport. Most of the females I know could care less about football.

Thats why they have the WNBA, profesional sports are at such a high level that I don't see a women being able to compet.

Look at golf as an example. Although women tend to hit the ball much shorter than men, they tend to be more accurate golfers than men. They may not have the same legpower, but I know there's a place in the NFL for any person who could accurately hit medium-range field goals. I mean, hell, New England is giving Martin Grammatica another shot - that shows how deseprate the NFL is!

i know a chick that is a Jui Jitsu and muai-thai that would kick Most if not all your butts i dont see why a woman couldnt play football .. although its a slight possibility

UHH, sorry, but you better pinch yourself cuz you need to wake up. She better be 6ft + and at least 200lbs cuz I dont care what she knows, when my 240lbs came at her it would be all over.
In high school one of my good friends, female, was on the bubble for the olympics in judo, also 3rd degree Black Belt in another martial art. Against other women she was a freakin BAD ASS. And against SOME guys that happened to be smaller than her she was tough, but she had no chance against most average size guys. NO CHANCE.
It's called anatomy and physics.

Men have more fast twitch muscles, and a greater capacity to create more, that's called testosterone. Men have stronger tendons, ligaments, and greater bone density. End of Story.

Before anyone even talks about a woman in the NFL, lets see one play in College. I mean REALLY play. And dont give me Katie Hnida, BS. She didnt play, she was a publicity stunt, nothing more. Ask anyone who played with her, she was horrible.
She went to New Mexico and I think she got in and kicked an extra point. Whoop de friggin dooo. I've seen 8 year old boys kick as good.

I did recently read about a story of a girl in CA who was the 3rd string QB at her High School. She got to play a game and threw 3 touchdowns. Cool story, but that's High School, and even that is extremely rare.

Don't think I'm bashing women either, I have a 15yr old daughter who has a great chance of earning a college scholarship in athletics(2sports), and my wife rocks my world

No. If a woman wants to play proffessional sports it will nearly always(i'd say always) be in an alternate female league. Just look at women's college basketball, that one girl was the first woman to dunk in an NCAA game(correct me if i'm wrong). I think that's a pretty good indication right there. I know males who were dunking in Junior High, High school, College, Pro. Unless a physical specimen is created, there is no way a woman will make it into any pro sport, again unless it has a "W" prefix.
