I still think it will be the chargers.

New NFL team?

I posted this in another thread, so a few of the "previous post" references may not make sense, but here is my idea
As someone else said, it would murder the perfect conference aligment we have now. 33 teams gets really messy. So the only real option is to move an existing franchise. The raiders have already failed there, and a bad team would not be supported. the Cardinals mightve been a possibility before they got their new stadium. To me, it seems to make sense for the league trying to increase market size to move a small market team like Jacksonville.
Actually, thats a great idea. There is very little fan support in Jacksonville (almost every home game is blacked out), the NFL isnt too enamored with the small market city, and they are a fairly competitive team that might earn some support in LA. Unlike the Raiders in LA still being "oakland's team", LA fans wouldnt dismiss them as "Jacksonville's Team." Perhaps they could move the Rams to the AFC South as Missouri and Tennessee are decently close and have the LA Jags take the Rams' spot in the NFC West. The Rams dont really have a great rivalry with the Cards, Niners, or Seahawks, so no big loss there. There would be a rivalry between the Rams and Titans due to a great deal of animosity after that one yard short Superbowl. I live in memphis and there a lot of Ram fans here, so you could create some pretty good rivalries. Indy and St Louis, 2 dome teams should have fun against each other. All in all I like the idea. Los Angeles Jaguars in... the next 10 yearsSuperintendent Chalmers: "Thank the Lord"? That sounded like a prayer. A prayer in a public school. God has no place within these walls, just like facts don't have a place within an organized religion."

32 is set. Hopefully the NFL will understand this and leave things how they are.
Everything is working perfectly right now and the way the playoffs and scheduling goes right along with it. Adding one more team would throw everything off. Adding more teams would just mess everything up. Everything is structured pretty good right now and I believe they should leave it as it is.Darrent & Damien - Broncos 4ever

the league has already stated their will be no addition to the league. its not even a discussion.
it will be a relocated existing team.
Jacksonville was rumored months ago, and seems like an obvious choice with the small market they have, but the owner has stated they will not entertain any offers to relocate the team. he said he's committed to J-ville, but then again they all say that when the goal is to sell tickets/luxury boxes for this season.
Tags get a team here already, preferably from the AFC.sigpic
