    Browns shuffle roster, waive five
    By Jeff Walcoff, Staff Writer
    June 22, 2006

The Browns have waived five players, the team announced Thursday.

The players waived all were undrafted rookies signed following the '06 draft. The list includes quarterback Dustin Almond of Southern Miss, offensive lineman Lance Butler of Florida, defensive back Charles Hall from Southern Louisiana, linebacker Ricardo Hurley of South Carolina, and defensive back Jeremy Modkins of TCU.

The cuts leave 88 players, including 25 rookies, on the Browns' expanded offseason roster. Ten of the rookies are draft picks, while 15 are undrafted free agents.

Teams must cut down to 75 players minus roster exemptions on Aug. 29, and then trim to their regular season 53-man rosters by Sept. 2.

The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

None of those guys seem like they were any good and I would doubt that we would pick them up.

    Thanks anyway though.

I like what the Browns are doing. It seems like they're trying to find a gem.

Yes indeed, we certainly have potential to compete for the AFC north Title.
