Young is having to work hard at knowing the plays, where receivers are going (even where he is supposed to be going), not to even get to reading defenses....
He took off running way to often.....Things that Volek is doing naturally, VY is having to work at.......You can see the talent in VY but he has way to much "rookie" learning to do and needs time to pick up the system......But he is very exciting, big, and extremely fast.....JMO" - titansrule

Difference is... Cutler can actually pass and Young never could... So if Young is throwing semi-not accurate balls, he's wayyy ahead of schedule.

actually, vince young led the nation in passer rating last year. but that could be because he threw so many short passes and never took a chance.

They ran 1 play close to 60% of the time in passing situations.

5wr open set where all of them do 7 yard curls. It has already been acknowledged that VY coulnd't read defenses in college, and that's why Mack simplified the playbook for him.

IMHO, Young won't translate success into the NFL. He isn't cat quick with acceleration and speed like Vick is, and his strength will be nuetralized, along with his running ability. He won't have tyhe opne field in the NFL like Vick did.

I am very happy what I have seen with Cutler he is looking pretty good. he is nailing every one except for the Int. which was also accurate DL pulled back and got stuck in his stomach
