Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports the Oakland Raiders have traded WR Doug Gabriel to the New England Patriots. The compensation for Gabriel has not been announced yet. The Patriots, with starting WR Deion Branch in a rancorous holdout, were in the market for a receiver.

Good move for the patriots as tom bradys best reciever is an open reciever, pretty sure Gabriel will get open alot this season, oh, and for the Raiders, their WR corp just got thinner, this will do nothing but hurt the Raiders this year, and maybe they 'll draft a solid WR next year to help them that year.

If Porter plays then they will be fine with Curry as the #3.

This sucks since it was a nice pickup by the Pats.
