Lions v Viks game might be moved to MNF

The Minnesota Vikings game vs. the Detroit Lions scheduled for noon on Sunday, October 8, could be moved depending on how the Minnesota Twins' Divisional Playoff Series develops.

The game between the Lions and Vikings will move ONLY if the Twins' series against Oakland advances to a Game 5. In that event, the Vikings-Lions game would be played on Monday, October 9, at 7:30 p.m. (CT), at the Metrodome.

POTENTIAL SCENARIOS
· Twins vs. A's - Series ends in 3 or 4 games - Lions at Vikings, Sunday, October 8, Noon (CT)
OR
· Twins vs. A's - Series goes 5 games - Lions at Vikings, Monday, October 9, 7:30 p.m. (CT)


· If the Vikings-Lions game is moved to Monday, October 9, the Taste of the NFL event at Winter Park in Eden Prairie will be held on Tuesday, October 10.

I think this game will go 5 games though... so I guess the Vikes will play Monday Night..

It will still be played, just that the lions and vikings will also play. what most likely will happen is that lions and vikings will play at an earlier time. Just like the first monday night double header on espn on week 1.

Even if they move the game to MNF it won't be shown live nationally. You guys are still the "real" MNF game. This has happened in the past and all they're doing is playing the game Monday night, but no one outside of the local markets will see it - it won't even be part of a doubleheader like week one was. Anyone outside of Detroit and Minnesota will have to catch the highlights on ESPN. Not to worry.
