Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

...So with that said give our team a break. It's our turn to be the good team and maybe even win a super bowl.
Since when do we "take turns" in the NFL, what is this, elementary school? Good on paper, beating average (at best) teams, losing to the one team with a real defense you've played all year. It'll be your turn when you fight for it and come out the winner, until then the Doltz get no breaks.

Reason: move parentheses to proper spot
They haven't even beat a winning team yet. Oh, look, they put up 40+ points on San Francisco. Yeah, real powerhouse team they have.
I hate to fuel the fire but, they are a pretty tough team. They have one of the best RB's in the league and very very solid defense. Rivers is playing really well right now so yea......they kinda deserve the respect they're getting. They are a valid threat to the Broncos this year, dont under-estimate them.

Yeah, they're the best in the NFL. HAH! They aren't even the best team in the AFC west.
I hate all the talk about "best teeam in the league".
Hell, that changes every week.
All teams lose games, this week it was our turn.
What I was disappointed in was the way SD lost. They were completely dominated in the trenches by an average Chiefs team. Our o-line was pathetic. Their run blocking has been poor for 2 seasons now. They cannot sustain their blocks to allow LT a chance to hit the second level.
Add to the fact that our secondary reverted to their previous form and allowed Gonzo to run through the secondary uncovered and it adds up to a loss.
Actually I was impressed we even had a chance at the end. With how poorly we played, if KC was a real good team we could have been blown out.
Now with Merriman's deal:brick: it's going to be a tough stretch for us.
Sorry to burst the hype bubble, but SD's defense isn't as good as they are protrayed in the media. Niners put up 19 points on them in the 1st half! That isn't exactly dominating. Take out the Raider game, sack total gets cut in half. I'm not saying SD's fake, but until they beat a team w/a winning record, it's difficult to say how good they are.
Need I emphasize the last sentence? Looks like it's shaping up like last year when the Chargers were "the best team not to make the play-offs". They'll be 6-3 when we face them @ Mile High.
Just thought I'd bring up this aspect of it cause I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Last year Chargers were a team that should have made the playoffs. They won two very difficult games against 2 powerhouse but lost some of the other games due to not finishing out games or in terms "bad luck/fluke plays". I think a lot of people are rooting for them to make postseason this year.
I think they have a great offensive team and the defensive side of the ball is above average as well. Not sure how will play out if Shawne really did inject steroids but whatever.

No, all the "experts" were riding them last year and the year they actually made the playoffs, they lost to the Jets BTW...
