  • Browns - Baxter could be out up to a year!

I guess he tore the PCL in both knees (nfl network). Unfortunately for this was his 1st game back after 3 weeks off due to a chest injury.

Yes. There secondary has been racked by injuries. The thing that gets me is it is both his knees! Thats just crazy. Going to be a nice long recovery!
    Thanks WhiteDragon!

That sucks. Hope he can make a full recovery. It didn't look that bad at the time.

And I didn't think our Lepsis was hurt that bad either. But...

Up to a year is the optimistic return period. In all seriousness, this is a career threatening injury and he will probably never be what he was before

More then that, the rehabilitation is going to be awfull

Cleveland's Gary Baxter tore patellar tendons in both knees while trying to break up a pass in the first half of Sunday's loss to Denver, a devastating injury for the cornerback and another big loss for the Browns.

          Both knees??? same time??

Man.. Javon knew right away it seemed about pulling a tendon.

          I hope baxter the best

Man, we watched that replay over and over (gotta love TiVo) and it really didn't look bad at all. And now it turns out he tore ligaments in BOTH knees? Yikes!

Poor guy. I hope he can overcome the long road ahead of him.

Tendons, ouch, quite possibly the worst he could have done. all the best to the guy just to be able to walk properly again, nevermind play again.

Let me guess. Some Broncos offensive lineman took his knees out.

It's a good thing Jay Cutler was a proven winner in college. Oh wait, nevermind.

I didn't really think that. If that was what really happened then there would be alot of talk about Denver's dirty line. However, I'm sure fans who hear about the situation would probably blame it on a chop block before they knew what really happened.

when it is knees it is over. You will be unable to perform if it was on a chop block and go out and cover a Wr on a streak down the field.

On the replay it shows his knee going out (shifting all the way up) on his left leg I believe when he was going down but must have went down on other knee.

You could tell Javon knew right away.

He kept going over to him repeatly and tapping him on his head.

This is the first time I heard of someone blaming it on a chop block. For some one that does blame it on that it means two things. They were unaware of what happended and decided to make somthing up and did not see the game.

That was completely out of line there.

I really did not appreciate your comment. He and Javon got tangled up.

Day of Doom: Injuries run rampant.

                            Steelers, Roethlisberger: ???

                            Browns, Baxter: Year

                            Colts, Doss/Reagor: Year/???

                            Packers, Robert Ferguson: Year

that really sucks about Baxter, up to a year, and both knees and one play. How sad.

And the struggling Colts D got even more banged up, before and during the game.

These are all big names from their respective teams. That sucks.
